I'm just wondering, as I've not heard hide nor hair of him OR that spartan II fellow since he made the announcement he was closing to new accounts. Someone on eve-i claims to have seen his account for sale on Ebay but I cant find the auction myself.
I'm just wondering as I have a substantial amount of my ISK invested with him and I'd prefer not to get burned on this, so has anyone actually spoken to him, 1 to 1 in a convo in the last few days?

I'm also waiting on a word from him for a eight figure investment. If anyone does find his account of ebay, please message me ingame.
Its way to early to speculate, he is probably just away for a little while.

To early to specualte. Morbor, with a n00b corp and 0.0 sec rate (i.e. he hasn't played the game at all, but yet is able to make really great investments etc.) is just on a vacation.
The fact that he offered the most insane figured on interest rate that doesn't make sense is not any more incriminating.

As you can see. Several other people agree with you that it wasn't a scam

But ask you this:
Isn't the ocean made of very many tiny drops of water? And maybe "morbor" is sailing on it with a new shiny boat laughing his ass off.
This pyramid scam actually tickled some faint memory in my head. I think I have read/heard about a scamming scheme IRL that went pretty close to what he has done

He is yet to rip me off. All I've heard was that a few people are late on their smaller investments (the massive influx of orders after the EVE-I article makes sense). I also do know that a good deal of people have gotten honest returns from their investment in the past including our own corp people.
Thus, I'm not about to start accusing him of anything until I have solid evidence to back my position. I'll make my decision in 3 weeks.

What you guys seem to be missing is that if it was a pyramid scheme, it would still be working.
However I suspect hes just having problems with the scale of investers.

I agree. He probably has an email screen that's 5 pages long thanks to the Eve-I article and this incident with his backer.
Of course he's going to be swamped. Until the Eve-I article, people were investing with him with great success. Unfortunately, the publicity from Eve-I changed things - There's only so far a business like his can scale.
BTW, his return rates did make sense for a small scale operation (capital on the order of a few hundred mill), but beyond all four battleship BPs and a few robotics trade runs, there's only so much money you can make no matter how much you invest.

I think the one you are refering too is called the "Ponzi investment scheme".
Named after notorious French "financier", Charles ponzi, who was nothing more than a elaborate con-man. He basically set up investment transactions that were too good to be true, promising huge returns on all investments made with him. The "key" was getting everyone to trust him, which he did over a period of time, Only to one day suddenly vanish when he figured he had enough to go some where else.

Saw a Thread on EVE-I today that people were posting in that Stated he was still paying off what he Owed and Still paying the Interest on it too

Morbor had the Flu, then lost his primary finacial backing. He will come out of this, just a matter of time. I have isk with him, not a small amount, and I have faith that it will come back to me in due time.

his 'company' aparetly have gone bankrupt, he hopes to pay back some of ithe initial investmenst after he has liquidated his stock options
shame it happened so soon after the fansite eve-i.com endorsed the agency with a front page news headline detailing his activities, which in turn lead to dramatic increases in the amount of investments.
he says the problem origniate froma major partner withdrawing, and is threatening to name said partner, but as yet no contracts or names have been released.

Whether it was intentional or not, this scheme had no chance whatsoever of succeeding once it had a large number of big investments.
If anyone wants to deposit huge sums of money in my wallet, please feel free to do so :-)
