As of downtime today, the second public ISS Outpost is now forever part of the Eve-metaverse. We call it the ISS Borealis Outpost. The outpost is located in P-2TTL, Pure Blind.
We hope, as do the many people who have invested in this outpost, that it will bring new life and purpose to the western part of Pure Blind and become a trade hub and natural meeting point for all the inhabitants of the area.
What an amazing experience it has been to build it!
I think everybody who were there this morning are still in awe over the flawless teamwork this project have seen.
Parcan and his AOD corporation, along with B5 and URAST, lead the starbase construction phase.
ISS Logistics, lead by Stins, delivered a sterling piece of work getting all the bits and pieces together and ISS Navy made sure all those freighters made it safely through 0.0 space.
And then the actual onsite construction team was a fantastic mix of ISS pilots and corporations, Lyrus Associates, Silversnake Enterprises and more, all working towards the tough goal of moving 3,6M m3 of materials into the outpost platform before downtime.
And last, but not least, our friends from Mercenary Coalition made an absolutely amazing turn-up this early Saturday morning: 68 pilots showed up in a mix of all the finest hardware Eve can offer, from a black Astarte command ship, to a fine selection of dreadnoughts, and, of course, Seleenes very own, very sexy, Thanatos carrier (shake those engine ports baby), supplemented by the slightly less numerous ;-), ISS Navy, who had also turned up in force.
Wonderful sight!
PS. A special thanks goes out to James Lyrus - without his Crane blockade runner we would still be out there, guarding the egg !! We love you James :-D
Congratulations to all involved - this is truly what makes Eve great!
Thanks guys

Edited by: Mr Babilonia on 28/01/2006 23:14:29 First of all i wanna say "congratulations" ISS. A very astonishing deployment regarding the time from the IPO to the actual construction. The region of Pure Blind hopefully will take the chance to use Borealis to its full capabilities.
On a downside i must note that i was not happy being let down by ISS on a business deal in favour of the Borealis deployment. I can understand your Outpost was more important, but getting a paying customer into serious troubles is not good business.
Anyway good luck ISS !
