Is there any good way to setup a vexer/thorax to kill a mining or ratting setup BS? I tryed to take a mining Apoc in my thorax but my drones couldnt kill his drones fast enough. Is it best to put blaster fire on their drones too or was my setup not good enough. I was using small t1 neutrons (now t2) with an MWD, scram, and web in mid and a 1600 plate, med rep, exp hardner, cap relay, and mag stab in low. Was using 2 med em drones and 3 exp med drones. Blasters had AM ammo.

First question to ask would be is what npcs he's tanking. You want to hit for his weak spots with your drones.
You might have some trouble killing his drones with blasters if they prefer to stay further away, in this case, equip one or two good webs and double web his drones -> attack -> destroy. I would go for two reps or perhaps a nanoplating if you don't know what he'll be using instead of a 1600MM plate, you should easily be able to tank his or her drones. On a thorax you might want to equip a MWD to get in on your target quickly. 2 point scrambler should hold him down, and if you land anywhere close he won't be able to warp out in time.

Don't fit small guns on a thorax, the drone damage isn't what it used to be, you are much better off fitting a rack of electons or ions. (now that you actually can fit them on a rax) If you had medium blasters on your thorax you would have killed that apoc

If you web his drones and set your drones on them you will kill them off easily, also I dont like the 1600mm plate set up anymore I use now..
3 electron II, 2 med Nos,
mwd/web/warp scrammer,
Med repper, damage mod, explosive hardner, reactive hardner and a 400mm plate
Then 5 med drones.
Warp in warp jam the apoc, web and put all fire power and drones on 1 drone at a time, then turn on the apoc, should kill it nps tbh.
Oh Nos the apoc while killing the drones, that set up runs forever not including the mwd ofc, you should be able to tank his drones long enough to kill them pretty easily tbh, initialy youre gonna be taking alot of damage but each drone you kill you should find your tank holding, then slowly building armour as you go.

I looked at the damage and it seems electron heavies do 2 more dps than neutron lights. Thats not even counting t2. Why shouldnt I go with smalls instead of mediums and fit a better tank?
