Greatings all i just want to know which is better and please state your reasons why ? i'm flying a claw rite now and ranis in about 5 days but i can't see the ranis will be better than claw " this is to my prospective offcourse " . the only reason i see the ranis is better than a claw is the extra mid slot once again please tell me what u think about both ships and STATE your reasons why ? thnx S.B.

would be a good setup if I couldn't just warp away from you

Ranis is a lot better because it can both web and scramble, Claw used to own all but not close to as much after plates got nerfed and turned plated Claws to fast cruisers agility-wise. Ranis can dish out some crazy damage with blasters OR do both range and damage with rails, while Claw is doing okay damage close and cool bursting damage from range. 280 Claw is harder to fly alone than rail-ranis. ___________________________ Brutors Rule! Believe it or not, many interceptor pilots just assume they are scrambled and never try to warp off.

That "nerf" is badly over-stated.

Matter of taste? Yea probably, so I think it's a proper nerf. ___________________________ Brutors Rule! My Eve-vids |

I don't even think about it I always engage, after that I'll see if it was wise or not but taranis is imo an interceptor win-button

I've lost a whole 103m/s under MWD, and my agility is ~5% worse.
BADLY overstated.

All of the ships supposedly meant to be blasterships perform horribly with them. And as for Ranis, it's one of the slowest inties. Having that as the shortest ranged one is retarded.

Taranis performs very well with blasters. As far as it being rather slow, there's always some negative to your race and the trick is working around them or using them to your advantage.

It's always a good trick to let another inty close in on you and then turn around and approach him. His momentum/reaction time will usually be enough for you to get in webbing range and subsequently get in range of your blasters.

The 2 nos/neutralizer drones a ranis can hold do wonders, always have drones in mind when fitting a taranis
On a claw with AC¦s,believe it or not you got the advantage of distance, while the ranis may struggle to even hit you at 5 or 10 km,you will be basically landing every hit, keep the range and the taranis is toast, dont let it approach you.Point blank it will just onslaught you for DPS matters(well,in most cirumstances..).In a claw your gonna need a webber anyway to fight a taranis, and then you cant stop him from warping off,but he might die before he has a chance.A scrambler wont cut it as he can just get away.Use phased plasma on the claw as its the appropite ammo your gonna use,not long range but its not EM either, and it does enough damage. 400x120@24000 bytes Max. -Capsicum |

OR you can train to fly a rocket plated crow... Get blaster like damage at up to 10 km with no tracking issues, no cap usage, AND you are naturally faster than the taranis so you can dictate range at all times when you have a webber engaged on your target... Taranis looks lame compared to that. You can even fit a fourth weapon and dominate...
