Greetings my fellow capsuleers. On November 9th/10th, my corporation, In Exile. will be hosting a party at Cerra Manor in which you all will be invited. I will post the details to the party closer to the event.
To make the party more interesting and to raise funds for several of our favorite charities and corporation, we are doing an auction that will allow you to bid on a date with several Amarrians who have volunteered for the occasion.
The date is intended for the party but if scheduling prohibits that from happening, then the volunteer has offered to reschedule for another night.
Please keep in mind this is intended for fun, nothing immoral should be expected from bidders.
We will run the auction starting now and end the bidding on Sunday at 22:00.
The first bid should start out at 25mil and new bids should be in increments of 5mil minimum, though of course you may bid more.
You may bid on as many dates as you'd like.
You will have until Monday, 22:00 to transfer your funds to In Exile., if you fail to do so, the next highest bidder will be given the option.

Perhaps a brief paragraph from each of the persons so as to gauge if our chemistry would match?
While I'm sure a firefight over dinner would be most interesting for some of people, I'd rather prefer fights elsewhere and more intimate.
Also, are we required to be on location for bidding? Or are holo-emitters in place to broadcast our remote presence? |

I do however find it an insult that bidding should start so low, on a woman of Shalee's calibre. I therefore place a more realistic opening bid for Shalee Lianne in the amount of five hundred million ISK. This seems far more fitting for such a beautiful date.

So far I see one serious bid, one pathetic attempt by someone to give their life value, and several jokes.
The average earning potential of a capsuleer in high security space is around forty million ISK in an hour. In null security space that increases to around two hundred million ISK per hour. Payments to the militia can vary widely, but can be around two hundred million as well, although average would be one hundred million per hour. Industry income is not nearly as high, but has the advantage of being 'fire and forget.' Profits from industry for a pilot skilled in manufacture are around two hundred million ISK in a twenty four hour period. The last method of income, station trading, from what I can tell, involves black magic. Those successful at it are fantastically wealthy.
The point is, if you are going to bid to spend a couple of hours with someone, lowballing that number serves to insult them. I know I would be if someone only valued my time at twelve and a half million ISK per hour.
To that end, I will put in bids of two hundred million ISK for each pilot listed, with the exception of Ms. Lianne. While it would be interesting to see if I can beat Mr. Ellis, I am not going to try out of fear that I can.

Thanks for the lesson in economics. If I stopped fighting the enemy long enough to make any money, I might be able to avoid lowballing.
