I am requesting official "Word of God" confirmation by a CCP employee on the question we all have in mind.
Will this item show up on real TQ KM's if I get podded, and will it reflect market value in total "ISK Destroyed"? I'm not really a killboard humper or a "pro points" junkie... but I *DO* rather like my ISK Lost/ISK Killed number as it sits, right now. I'm not gonna see 4bil added to my losses every time I don't warp out fast enough (which doesn't really happen all that often, but still).
I want to plug this puppy in, but until that question is answered, I will not. I don't want to make myself unemployable to PvP corps, and I certainly don't want to destroy such a rare item. Thats the one you use to get the Golden Pod right? If so you can use it all you want as you wont lose it when podded. And I cant think it would effect the killboard in any way. But then again, I have not heard anything from CCP of this topic before. Just that I personally cant see it happen. |

I'm not afraid of losing the implant. I know it's permanent. I just want to know if it shows up as "destroyed"... which would be a total d**k move, because it doesn't actually get destroyed. I'm just reluctant to plug it in only to realize 4bil pod losses will result, then want to unplug it and lose it forever. I'd rather wait until the CE is gone, and the implant hits 9 or 10 bil on the market, to sell it off.
4bil is what it's priced at, right now. Hence, the unused implant sits in a station hangar.
El Quirko.... add me to your watch list. I'm pretty sure you warped out like a bat out of hell the least time we locked you up :p "you can identify eve players by looking at their cars. Since they don't drive what they can't afford to lose."-á --áBienator II |

He is worried that when he gets podded it will show up on his precious killboards that he lost 50 billion worth of ships because golden pod implant will cost about 20 billion for a the first few months.
The killboards take the average market price of the items and implants dropped. this new implant will be worth a fortune. therefore is will skew the killboards, shrinking epeens throughout the galaxy. |

Nope, wrong. It moves faster, aligns faster, and has more structure. In short, it's pay to win and therefore BAD.

My only question now is:
Will the golden pod show up as such in the overview? If im at the sun camping a bubble and Ive got a lot of pods to choose from... I want to make sure that I can easily distinguish between them to see which ones are deserving of my ammo first.
Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

That, we do know for sure. It shows up as Capsule Genolution Auroral-179 Variant, or words to that effect. "you can identify eve players by looking at their cars. Since they don't drive what they can't afford to lose."-á --áBienator II |

Exacta. Which is why I haven't plugged it in.

Are we comparing ships in the information tab with ships you are sitting in with your skills applied to them and complaining that they are not the same.
They are identical. Well except the golden pod has 60 km targeting range. |

From what I heard... it will be just like every other implant and calculated on the killboards (after enough people put it up on the market and enough "sell data" has been gathered).
So for a short while I will be considered "worthless" as far as the market is concerned (despite what the "buy orders" say).
I will personally plug it in without hesitation (because I want my corpmates to hate me more than they already do). Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

From what tests were run before (Not by me, got the link from another thread) the Golden Pod does indeed show up on the killboard. But as far as we can tell, it is unknown if it will be set to 0 or whether its going to be added once the market updates...
Here.
Thanks to the guy (James Amril-Kesh) in the KM who tested it and posted it on the forums. Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person." |

Not plugging it in or plugging it in. The ONLY reason I see for not plugging mine in, is so I can have the implant sitting in my stash of rare items. But.. golden pod is so lovely Amarrian how can I not.. |

Some of EVE's best PvPers have pretty "bad" killboard efficiency (50-60%) while tons of fleetmonkies have 95%+. Just stop caring about trivial numbers.

In some way. It would actually be a blessing to have the implant ******* up your killboard. Then noone would be able to get anything useful out of the efficiency and it would eventually become as useless as my likecount. We will never forget you Saede!

The only flaw in that plan is that I swore an oath against podding.
I'm not all-solos though. But 75% of my kill history has less than 10 people on the mail. Even when I was with Gentleman's Club and Atlas, I tended to shy away from the huge fleet engagements.
