hi there im having a problem with the game in full screen mode, every now and then the eve window will minamize once it does this i cant get back to the game. This doesnt seem to happen in windows mode, but in windows mode the bottom of my screen is cut off 
hope someone can help with this...

just want to add that the game is still running and the music plays but i cant bring it back up, although i did manage to restore it to full screen once (no idea why)

If you run in windows mode, you might have to set the resolution to something small than your screen rosolution, or you might have trouble fitting it. I run my monitor at 1600*1200, so I keep the game running windowed at 1280*960.
Did you try hiding the start bar, isthat what cuts the bottom off. And also drag the top of the window off the top of the screen as much as you can.
As for it minimizing. I'm no expert, but sounds like there might be an application running that pulls you back to the desktop. Try closing everything in the tray area that you can on the rith side of the start bar. Also, try ending any app with the Task Manager. Maybe all apps with your user name. Except Explorer.exe and the Taskmgr, which is what your using.
Then after all that, run the game fullscreen and see if it does it again. If it doesn't, then you'll have to figure out what app was doing it.
Also, make sure you don't hit the windows key, between the ctrl key and alt key, that takes you back to the desktop.

which file contains the details of your screen cfg. find it. make sure it is configed to your resolution of choice , and then make it a read only file so that it can't be messed with.
the file is not kept in the standard eve folder.
but i havent found out where they are stashing it yet.

Find your EVE folder and look for a folder named cache in there you will find a file named prefs.ini there you can change the settings for the game.

Also, check out www.eve-i.com and get their evedude something tool there. That way you can set all the game settings without having to login to get to them. I think it also offers you a few more resolutions the ingame menu doesn't. I had to use it no matter what since I got that glitch where changing the res to anything while in the game will give me that 200*300 resolution with no way back except deleting the pref file.
