Did you notice that the Absolution has the same color has a zealot (yellow) and is the damage dealer like the zealot. The damnation is blue-black like the sacrilege and is barely usefull for combat.
The Absolution is just a sacrilege (armor resistance bonus) ducked taped with a zealot (damage dealer) on a Prophecy for the looks. Who will train for HACs with a ship that can do both? Armor tank better than a sacrilege and deal more damage as a zealot.
I dont know about the other races but this is not right in my eyes. I fully agree with all that DC said. ------ BlogÖ WTS Core-X EM hardener |

Ok. lets get into the details. Zealot vs. Absolution
Zealot stats: 5x High slots for 4x turrets and a nos 3x mids for webber, AB or whatever 7x Lows for a very good tank and a 1600 plate (6700 armor with a tungsten)
6.86 damage mod on each Heavy pulse II (with the 5% damage implant) with Medium spec lvl4 and HAC lvl4 and 2.84 RoF *4 turrets. Thats already impressive and scaring unexperienced BS pilots.
2k base armor 60% EM 80% Explosive 62.5% Kinetic 35% Thermal
Add one energized adaptive nano T2 and a thermal hardener T2 and you have this:
69% EM 85% Explosive 72% Kinetic 77% Thermal
Now for the Absolution:
7x High slots and 6 turret slots and a launcher 3x mid slots for the same as a zealot needs also 7x lows like the zealot but 500 more grid than the zealot which leaves enough for a heavy tank and maybe beams instead of pulse with good skills.
3750 base armor 60% EM 70% Explosive 53.12% Kinetic 35% Thermal
Lets try the same as above and add an energized adaptive nano T2 and a thermic hardener T2: 68% EM 80% Explosive (not sure) 66% Kinetic (also not sure) 76.5 Thermal
You see that even if the zealot using the same tank as the absolution, it can never outdamage the absolution with only 4 guns. Add at this point that the Absolution has 1500 more base cap as the zealot.
Now explain to me how a HAC is supposed to kill such a ship that is stronger in every aspect? ------ BlogÖ WTS Core-X EM hardener |

We are talking about evenly matched, not jamming the crap outta the oponent.

Originally by: DigitalCommunist I'm too wired to remember, but I doubt it. Still though, if it makes sense, I see no reason why it should be forbidden. HAC is something people already have trained or aspire to train, its the Logistics skill that becomes iffy.
I for one don't have it trained, but if I was more interested in Gang Support atm I would certainly train it. Its not as if the pre-reqs for Logistics aren't things you would definitely need on a combat character so I wouldn't be crying if it suddenly became pointless for Battlecruisers.
Logistic skill required for a pure combat ship..... whats next? Industry lvl5 needed for T2 BS? ------ BlogÖ WTS Core-X EM hardener |

I¦m talking about this.

I know that a jammed target is basicly dead but thats not the point here. I¦m comparing a command ship and a HAC and the above quote. ------ BlogÖ WTS Core-X EM hardener |
