Currently running around with:
3x 150mm II 1x knave small nos (8 pg rather than 9 for meta 3+4 nos)
1x med shield extender II 1x mwd II 1x best named webber 1x named scrambler
1x gyro II 2x PDU II
1x anti-kinetic shield rig
dont think it's really worth it as a ship to put a second rig on there
with better cap skills and higher level of awu id probably drop the nos for an arbie rocket launcher and fit 200mm II's
pretty mean little ship though 2.2k shields with 60% resists across the board, 100dps with my gunnery skills and 2.2k ms, which is sort of slow but unfortunately that's an issue with all assault frigates - this one is easily the best of the bunch though!

According to EFT that's 103dps with EMP and a total of 2335 Shield HP with 41,56 Shield recharge. 0,9 cap use against 2 cap recharge, so it runs forever.. Pretty tight fitting since it's 53,72 of 53,75 powergrid (AWU 4).
Can this build handle L3 missions? Lost my hurricane in a L3 battle, and took two months off maxing out my frig and AC skills. Looking for a Jag (or wolf) build to work a couple of L3 agents. Thanks in advance.

Edited by: Deadeye Devie on 17/02/2008 11:32:04 my setup, of which i love its lastability...
Highs:- 3x ACs 1x Rocket launcher
Mids:- 1xAB II 1xMed shield extender II 2xShield recharger IIs
Low:- 3xShield power relay IIs
Rigs:- 2xshield purger Is
my results are a sheild recharge rate of 101secs with shield hp of 2020hp, overall stucture of 6722hp, DPS for about 98 and can tank lvl 3s with no problem, and some lvl 4s as well
on EFT with all to 5 the recharge of shields is 95secs with over 2104 hp and an effective hp of 6971, DPS of 120 and i sooooo wanna try this out!!!
the joy of this ship is the lack of use of the cap....it only needs it for the AB (or MWD if subbed for it when applicable) so nossing and neuting will only slow it down, allowing it to still keep its effective tank.
as u can tell its purely set to soak up dmg and deal out an ok ammount...not web, scram, or any other function....so is predominantly a missioning, or, with a swap of the rocket launcher (if yoiur using 200mm AC IIs like me u may wanna swap down to 150s) it becoms a nice sustainable ratting ship for belts. PVP wise, think of it as more of a small command tanked frig for a frig gang, able to keep its tank going whilst allowing u to assign targets, and co-ordinate the attack.
this is the ship that i ran for a large chunk of my time...in-fact its what i used to make money for my 'cane, and i still prefer using this over the slow lumbering spearhead of the BC. Its sooo much fun, when mission running, to duo this with an identical jag and wipe through lvl 3s mixing speed tanking with its great shield tanking ability.

Build works great for L3s using only 1 Shield Purger rig. My tank holds up very well, so I think the 2ng purger may be overkill. Should I go with a speed rig or projectile damage rig in the second slot. My build is identical to the one above, except my SPRs are only T1.

Just hopped into my first Jag!! Damn it looks good under new gfx patch..
PvE'r (I haven't PvP'd as I'm only 3mill SP)
3x 280mm Howitzers 1x Missile Launcher
1x ArcJet AB 1x 'named' shield booster I 1x Cap Recharger II 1x (EMPTY) ...
1x Overdriver I 1x RCU I 1x 'named' Damage Control I
I fitted the RCU to help bring the 3 howitzers and missile bay online, dropping the nano-structure I had in there before.
This build leaves me with one Mid-slot, and 2PG 10CPU to play with.. Any thoughts?
Also, as I am still a nuub and still grinding through lvl2 agent missions, could I lose the low-slot DC, and replace it with - say - a gyrostabiliser?
Any advise gratefully received |

Use 250mm Howies.. slightly less DPS, but better tracking, better fitting and overall much more versatile

(Nice sig)
I'll switch down to 250mill howitzers, which should free up my much needed powergrid.
Another random question with this Frig.. Are MWDs aimed more at getting big ships in/out of range as fast as possible, or is it worth learning MWDs for lil' frigates too? I understand it will hammer my Cap. but that's what the Rechargers for.. right??

I'm using the standard extended passive shield tank. I've added a neut after I max'd out my cap skills. The neut is for the solo/duel , small shield booster setups I've seen lately.

7days later i'll have my first jag! as far as I understand, autocannon 200mm techIIs are good as triple, since their fire rate is around 3secs. meanwhile i'm thinking for a defender loads of rocket launcherII. I was happy with my nano combination nanofiber internal II+ inertia stab II+ warp core stab II on other ships. But with no PvP expeience, i'm not sure of nano fitting... I dunno what to fit on medium slots. shield booster II it is for sure, but for PvPing may be warp scrambler... or webifier. I read that some players insists fitting modules that are "penalized" so what is the point of fitting 3 same module if you get penalized? whats the trade off?

my current setup is
[HI] 3x Tech II 200mm autocanons. 1x tech II small nos
[MED] 1x Tech II mwd 1x Tech II small sheild ext 1x Tech II kinetic deflection amplifier 1x Tech II med sheild booster
[LOW] 2x Tech II overdrive Injector 1x Tech II inertia Stab
you could replace the sheild ext, for a web or a scram if you want, or even the booster. im using this setup mainly for gang ops when we have other dedicated scrammers and webbers, it works fairly well so far, as long as you keep your speed up.

PVE Fit with AWU4:
3 x 200mm T2 AC 1 x Rocket Launcher T2
1 x AB T2 1 x Web T2 1 x MSE T2 1 x Shield Recharger T2
1 x gyro T2 1 x OD T2 1 x SPR T2
My skills are fairly advanced. With this full T2 fit, this thing absolutely shreds, and is a joy to fly.

After reading this thread about a 20 km crow I tried to recreate my old Jaguar setup. It's more than a year old but it worked quiet nice back then even without overloading and rigs. For obvious reasons I had named my Jaguar "Murder of Crows"
3x 150mm T2 ac 1x small diminishing NOS
1x 20km Warp Scrambler 1x True Sansha Webber 1x Fleeting Webber 1x AB II
1x SAR II 1x Gyro II 1x Overdrive II
Will go >1000 m/s on the AB, the centerpiece is of course the named webber with a 14 km range (18200 m overloaded). The drill is simple, web & scramble until in range for web #2. That's when even the fastest Crow will hit the brick wall and will start to do some serious dieing due to the ACs.
The only wild card is if a crow is indeed fittet with a webber of similar range but I doubt many people who plan to stay at 20 km will do that.

Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I Anti-Kinetic Screen Reinforcer I
Only some 100 dps, but nice and fast, with a squad leader at skirmish 5 I get around 3.8km/s with my skills, enough to catch the lesser nanoships, especially in combat situations plus a tank to survive until your friends kill them. Setup runs with all modules for 1m20sec with my crappy cap skills.
Works decently against any frigate or destroyer, but needs to be careful with cruisers and up if they fit a web. |

Hi everyone, I will have my first jaguar in 2-3 days. I have few questions for you. I read the whole topic but i guess that some stuff is outdated.
The way i figured out is that jaguar has very big damage, he is very similar to Rifter frigate but a lot more powerfull and more resistant. Since i am still new to this game i was wondering if this is the right way to use jaguar. - equip him like rifter, use MWD to come close to target and kill him very fast while orbiting around the webbed target. I like that style of play so i hope jaguar is sucesfull in that.
Second question is will i be able to tank gate guns (at least for a while so i can warp out if it becomes dangerous)?
We are talking about pure PvP build. Give me some suggestions (and please use expencive sollutions, i want to pimp it to be very brutal ship).
So far i was thinking on something like this: - if you have better for this style of play please say - keep in mind that i need to win the fight :))
lows> Gyros II lows> Overdrive II lows> ? (small armor repairer II) or something else?
Medium> Web II Medium> Warp Scrambler II Medium> MWD II Medium> somthing to jam my opponent ? or shield extender?
High> 200m AC II - barrage High> 200m AC II - barrage High> 200m AC II - barrage High> RL II - advanced rockets ? (which one)
RIGS > ? dmg? RiGS > ? shield? ------------------------
And my final question is which ships i can kill ?
Thanks a lot in advance :)

Edited by: Justin Sein on 24/12/2008 20:24:52 My current PvE Jag loadout:
3 x 200mm Autocannon II Arbalest Rocket Launcher
1MN AB II Medium Shield Extender II Kinetic Deflection Amp II Explosion Deflection Amp II
Overdrive Injector System II Shield Power Relay II Shield Power Relay II
Core Defense Field Extender I Core Defense Field Purger I
Winds up pretty much perma-tanking any level 2 w/ the cap stable at 73%. DPS is a bit low at around 100 w/ EMP and Gremlin rounds and around 6m SP.
Need to get the DPS and Shield skills up a bit more before I try level 3s in it.
