Having recently renounced all things Symantec, I'm in need of a new ad blocker. The Firefox popup blocker works most of the time, but not all, and I need something to block ads on pages.
Does Adaware Plus/Pro have good ad blocking? If not, what's a good program?

If you install fasterfox (an ff plugin) you can turn on the hidden switch to block plugin-created popups.
Works for me. ------------- Please fix the stacking algorythm, it's a disgrace!

I personally use pop-up stopper free edition, I don't remember the last time a popup wasn't blocked.

I find spysweeper to be very good for protecting your system...But i think it allows legit popups so it might not be what you are looking for. ========= "I am not saying there should be capital punishment for stupidity, but why can`t we just take the safety labels off everything and let the problem fix its self |

Have you tried AdBlock?
It's very unusual for me to get an advert that isnt from google useing that. You can block them too. ----

For general everyday internet invulnerability I use a combination of firefox, google toolbar, zonealarm, avgfree and popupstopper. All free, all great. Very rarely does a popup slip through. --------------------------------------------------

Think there is an option when you have googlebar installed that you can right click and disallow them. Apart from that, not sure. Uninstall flash, maybe? they dont really bother me as much as popups --------------------------------------------------
