This has been bugging me for sometime now. Could people PLEASE take the time and give a detailed explanation as to why Evolution and some other corporations have such a hatred for TTI?
I really would like to know.

I actually dont have a personal "Hatred" per-say.... I do, and or maybe did have a pretty good guy I had as a contact within TTI and I have no problems with him, in fact I always liked the guy. However I do think that some of the higher ups of TTI are some seriously arrogant individuals, and a little bit of humility is always a good thing. Besides a bit of this goes back to Beta anyhow, and to go into it full depth would be a huge thread and probably flamed to death.

I hate them cause they banned me from their IRC Channel for no good reason (except that i made a few potential recruits do 60 jumps into the middle of nowhere to get their "free battleships").

I dont hate TTI have several friends there, like Necro, Anla shok etc. But we all know its a game and at the moment in the game we are enemies.
Me and Necro been enemies in other games, and also allies. Allies one day, enemy the other, and suddenly allies again. This is what make the politics of EvE intruiging, interesting and makes this game alive for me.

I dislike (not hate) TTi, because they are attemptign to be the Microsoft of EVE. Dont like Microsoft, and hence, dont like TTi.
Aside from that, TTi like to appear Holier than Thou and whiter than white, they're not and should just bring themselves to admit it.
They're Pirates, and if not pirates then pirates suppliers which amounts to the same thing......and finally, I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them "Examined......Diagnosed......Now comes the Surgery."

Think it was like 13mil or something, with todays economy, it is not as impressive as it used to be
Side note though, I think Anla Shok is a cool person, had a nice convo with her today while we were camping the station, always nice to have a civil conversation in between all the flaming

Think anla shok is going to a RL meet in Vienna with some Xan Ceos today aswell.
Take it as a game, its all it is. Slandering someone like it would be RL is not good.
We fight a war in a game, hating someone over a game......hate is very strong....
Do you hate the german/Japan players in Axis and Allies if you happen to play russia?
If your blue in Risk do you hate Yellow?
If red gets to the goal first in Ladders do you hate him?
Get some perspective imo.

There are many TTI members i like and some i dislike. You cant get along with everyone. But hate? Thats a bit strong for an online game. I know EVOL have their reasons for attacking TTI. We have our reasons. I have met some fine TTI members in venal already. Most of them are civilized and mature. Some of them even put up a good fight. Respect for that. Kick the other 200 idle mates in the **** for not helping you.
Oh. And we're having dinner with Anla on monday.

Ultimately there are no free rides in EVE. Being in the largest and probably equally best known corporation (with m0o) in the game confers both benefits and repercussions.
The benefits are clear so I won't list them, the repercussions are also fairly obvious but are worth stating explicitly. Firstly the larger a corporation the more vulnerable it is to small scale military attacks. Secondly the large number of members means that the chances of one or more of them making a mistake and/or doing something that gets around rumour-wise is significantly higher, thus fuelling any propaganda war that anyone wants to wage. Finally if you want to attack someone and get a bit of publicity then the biggest corporations and/or alliances are certainly the ones to go for. Oh, ok, one more - there can also be roleplaying reasons for any assault on any corporation big or small, and large corps like TTi are certainly not immune to this.
The problem comes when people either
a) Cross over from disliking something IC to OOC OR disliking something OOC sufficiently to make IC/OOC indistinguishable (in which case that person should really calm down and get a life) or
b) and this is equally bad - the people at the receiving end of an IC/gameplay assault who cannot accept that it is IC/gameplay and not OOC.
Talking specifically about TTi I think both a) and b) are true, not for the bulk of players but certainly for a sufficient (but tiny) minority for it to be noticable. IMHO this makes the whole situation something I am very cautious about taking any part in. Thank goodness for Minmatar!

Hate is not a strong word to use in game. Hating the player and hating the in game identities are very different imo.

The hate is because they preach in one tread and flame in the other. trying to get a strait answer from them is pointless.
lets compare there customer service to other rl companies, they tell you what they want you to know never the truth. Ie thats a known fault! do you ever hear companies in rl saying its our fault!!! I don't think so. At least in rl there are comissions to deal with renegade corporations..fines ect. In eve there is only one way to deal with a corp that is out of control and thats destroy it.
TTi support pirates they employ pirates who indiscriminatly kill other players in the name of protecting venal ten jumps from venal!!!!.
The problem with tti is they try to be the we are nice helpfull corp look at our website! when they are really the wolf in sheeps clothing. At this point in time everyone has seen through the disguise.
A suggestion to TTI is to denounce pirates in venal/pure blind and help to get rid of them instead of helping them.
Respect is earned not taken. You guys should remember this.

What do you expect? The best time to eliminate a threat is before it becomes one. Pure Blind/Tribute is the way into Venal and stopping invaders there is better than allowing them into our territory where they become a nuisance before being dealt with.

No offense Athule, but i think its pretty obvious by now that you couldn't stop attackers in or out of Venal.
The only thing you can do with a force like that is pirating.

Can't stop big attackers sure, but what about people striking where it hurts most - our wallets? Anyone mining unauthorised in Venal is taking ore away that a Venal member could have mined and sold. Likewise with traders or minor threats such as NPC hunters who feel they might try their luck on a lone wolf attack. Not all invaders come with 10 battleships :-)

... Indeed, i can see how a few minor visitors could cause a dent in unlimited supply of NPC pirates and ore that would be beyond repair. :s
'Tis a really silly argument to be honest; if your wallet is indeed so precious for you and such a source of pain, maybe go out and actually *mine* that ore sitting there and shoot those NPC's yourself until there's nothing left or you made enough isk to satisfy your greed? Instead of just crying "but i *could've* mined it and made money myself and here someone else came and did it instead of me" Because if none of the numerous alliance members bothered to do that... mayhaps you don't actually need those resources as much as you think and claim you do?..

On the contrary, Venal is not Stain or Fountain. There is a good reason why it was claimed the last of the three well known alliances - mineral wealth is negligable, certainly compared to Stain, and the pirate drones are equipped with, well, second grade toasters and washing machines converted into weapons fit only for recycling. Ore cannot be mined if it is not there due to it passing as undeclared contraband passing into Lontrek, and a frustrated drone hunter can and do easily turn on our own unarmed vessels.

let me ask you a question then...protecting your wallets...would it be ok for a huge force to claim pure bind and keep you in venal where you would be unable to sell your wares to fill your wallet? or do the rules of camping gates 10 jumps away only apply to venal?
Personnally I think just locking all of you in venal where you have claimed is much better idea than chasing you in there.
You made your bed now sleep in it!!

Feel free - if anyone is silly enough to lose valuable time sitting in Pure Blind waiting for Venal members to come along that's their business. Whilst a bit of a nuisance, current incursions haven't affected my own business other than the joining in on the hunt - which is a welcome diversion from time to time.

Fantastic to see a good response to this post, it could of gotten real ugly wretch :)
IC hate i guess is the nearest u can attribute to hate in eve, or the 13 year olds that get really annoyed a losing stuff and soon overlook the actuality of what eve is.
As for hating my own oponent, never, Homo Errectus (or Caps king as we've come to call him) is currently having a secret love affair with me :( - the last thing he expected to find in Venal was a Latino Lover.
