Why CPP choose to do an interview with ogaming.com is beyond me. Ogaming is closely affiliated with IGE. A dev interview with ogaming is essentially an endorsement of RMT. Very disappointing.

link is/was on the home page of the main site or the player's news center. I wouldn't read too far into the association between the site and ISK sellers, but yeah, it does shed a negative light on things.

Was it a couple years ago (?) that OGaming bought up community sites like crazy. Some of the most highly regarded EQ community sites fell to the OGaming dollar. Once the takeover happened those sites started to display IGE ads like crazy. You can still find plenty of IGE ads on the ogaming network, though they are not shown on landing pages anymore. If you look back at those times, there were some well founded speculations that OGaming is indeed owned by IGE. While there was never any proof, and I certainly don't have any either, it is pretty clear on which side of the RMT issue OGaming is standing today.
I am all for more exposure for EVE, and more credit to CPP, but if that means selling out to ISK sellers or their supporters, then that is just not acceptable, to me anyway.

Being owned by IGE is a negative light indeed. :) Ogaming's EQ2 webmaster has claimed that IGE has no direct influence to their site, but that they do pay the bills. Wikipedia support the claim they are owned by IGE as well.

it is indeed. thats not good at all - i'd rather CCP didn't do interviews with IGE companies, but i guess its their own choice.

Not just closely affiliated, IGE owns ogaming. You're only getting into the tip of the iceburg too. A while back IGE started buying up tons of gaming news, service, and fan websites.
Anyways, news is news and exposure is good for EVE. I would mention the conspiracy theories out there and small words that came from IGE claiming that some gaming companies were buddy buddy with them behind the curtains, but IGE is full of it, so who cares.

IGE is basically the largest company that sells isk, or gold or credits or characters or whatever it is that can be sold in an MMO. Isk Sellers are bad. That is all.
