There's more MERC corps in highsec nowadays than there are regular corps.
And unsurprisingly, the majority of them accepts nothing but highsec contracts.
Worse yet, despite a good number of kills made, most of these highsec only mercs seem to spam their killboard with industrials, newbee ships, capsules and the odd T1 Cruiser.
Hub camping, noob killing - I see nothing impressive here.
I will never understand how people can find it interesting enough to actually stay in highsec for wars in THIS particular fashion for more than a couple weeks before being absolutely bored out of their skulls.

Don't get me wrong - MERC work can be fun.
And good Mercs can make you stressed out.
But if I were to be a client, seeing a frontpage of a killboard ( aka closest thing to an actual resum+¬ ) loaded with pitiful ships, I'd take my money elsewhere.
if I were a target seeing the same killboard, I'd hardly feel shaken.
Anyway, not lashing out at you guys from Asylum in particular, but more the overall merc scene as it is today.
You guys should start throwing mutual wars at each other, you know, to see who the merciest merc that ever merced is.
Root out the trash kind of thing - seperate yourself from the others.
Good luck with that. Hopefully you will manage to impress people that matter. |

I'm one of them cool high sec mercs :)
I would love to go to low sec more, but sec is a pain and i need to be able to go everywhere if i'm stalking someone.
It is very hard to fly in low sec and not be able to shot at the shiny ships there :/
And about it being boring...
I think you can say the same about anything in this game, why do ppl mine? pve? shot stuff?
How can null secer enjoy sitting lightyears away from a gate with a bubble and then shot what get stuck? wouldn't that get old after a couple of weeks? Or drop a big cap fleet on a small cap fleet. Who does that impress?
Industrial ships, my last one dropped 2 bil, so i don't mind posting them on my killboard :)
And I don't think many mercs are camping a gate and hope they catch a ibis. We camp them to stop the enemy to use tradehubs. And when you do that you will catch alot of small useless stuff since that is what many WT likes to fly. |

You are. We have a few random members who go and pick some kills in trade hubs, but generally speaking, we do a lot of hunting.
That being said, home system is along a trade pipe, it helps to bag the clueless and those in need of a rough application of Darwinism. |

Today is a good day so far, plenty of killmails are being generated (a few of which I could personally gloat on, but I shall refrain for I am of a humble nature), tears collected and clients satisfied.
We are a boring bunch, as we have (most of the time) a no drama policy.
That being said, boring or not, if your enemies are doing in-game stuff, like undocking and flying ships, we shall find them and we shall execute them. BOOM pixel spaceships.

After catching a missioning Megathron yesterday, we were asked the mandatory ritual question, that is, why didn't we come and play with them in their lowsec Barleguet home system.
After answering we didn't care to fight them 10 to 1, we moved on.
If you got someone that pisses you off, straight don't like their face or find disturbing enough to be removed in Hisec though, hire us, we'll do it for you.

Hired them after recommendations from two other merc groups. Wanted a contract done by the end of the week, they did it the very next day. Even when the job time stretched out to around 5 hours, outside their TZ to boot, they stuck around to finish it. Very satisfied with the service. |

Came up against these guys in a Wardec, it was about a month back. I would recommend them to any corp that needs a helping hand. They do a great job shutting down system choke points and forcing some rather embarrassing 46 odd jumps to circumvent them. Needless to say, it was not worth it.

Yesterday, I was zipping around trying to create content. I knew the enemy had some people randomly undocking and flying around. Come in a Celestis, and eager I was to get what looked an easy kill, and maybe, who knows, shed some tears in Local. But it was not to be so as with distress I realized too late I had forgot to refit a long point to and my failure to catch it left me crestfallen and bereft, sitting on the gate... Quickly I docked up to to refit with a longer although slimmer codpiece.
But LO! and BEHOLD!
Intel must have flown and a solo Ishkur came to me to fight my own, and we engaged in a ribald dance of pleasure and pain, ending with him popping open like an early Summer flower, and thus the world was set aright and GF were exchanged in Local. \o/
This is when it happened, reinforcement were on their ways! A Cerberus come in! Engaging with purpose, we started to slap each other without success, both of us repairing faster than dps could be applied... but it was all bait! 162 AU away, on the far side of the system, enter a Golem, two Ospreys and a Celestis.
I was impressed, and all that for my little Ishkur. AS the reinforcements dove in warp and closed in like ominous sharks, I stood in awe.
Then I gathered my drones and warped away, as the Cerberus bait obviously forgot to fit a point to hold me down.
The Sun was truly magnificent. |

Nice work on the Tayra this morning, by the way, we had to boot that one for being an idiot. Anyway, they were cool, though, they brought a good fight. It was pretty incredible, actually - 4 vs 1, to the death! As for Irmalin, while we get the odd lowsec kills (and losses), there is a reason why a lot of us have quit low or nul for hisec warfare, and as such do not especially care going down there for a fight, so maybe you could convince some of your Irmalin guys to come up for some brawls?

Indeed, it has. suur karu was very accommodating, although, he didn't realise it at the time. Unfortunately, due to my sec status, I couldn't join the ride on that one, but as a soloist myself, I managed to catch this one for us as well. I know it's not you guys, but, it certainly makes up for losing a newb in a Brutix, I would think.
Anyway, we're having fun. Even losing that destroyer fleet to you earlier was a valuable lesson for our newbs, and we appreciate it. We look forward to more pew-pew and indeed, maybe in future, working together instead of being constantly at each other's throats.
As for travelling, we do have some serious commitments to allies in lowsec. Today was a rather special occasion, and it won't be something that happens very often.

2nd week we figured you guys really werent going to come to our wormhole for the war so we decided to come to you.
We fleeted up and made the trip to Amarr where we decided to spam local a bit trying to incite violence.

I got war decced by a high-sec POS griefer. I hired these guys, and literally three minutes into the war, I get a message that says SidePocket Productions has offered a surrender. Not only did Forsaken Asylum make the griefer **** their pants, but scandor went on my behalf to talk with their CEO. scandor didn't like the griefer's attitude, and the griefer himself ragequit, so scandor promised me his corp was dead to a permanent wardec. I am a very satisfied customer, and would highly recommend them to others for their contracts. I certainly know I'm going to! |

Just an update on this war now that its ended. After this post we proceeded to hunt down and destroy 6bil from advent of fate. Combined with a previous war a month ago in which we killed 1.7bil, the client was quiet pleased. Thank you for your contribution to our thread. |

The proverb, You get what you pay for, couldn't be truer when it comes to hiring a mercenary corp.
After I was on the receiving end of a war dec, I reached out to several mercs but only Forsaken Asylum responded immediately. Detech Deplete explained very clearly the services that would be provided and cost as well as give me options should I need them as the war progressed.
When my aggressors attacked, I reached out and help arrived very quickly. More than enough force was brought to handle the situation. The best part was my aggressors attitude adjustment after the Forsaken Asylum fleet jumped in.

With the amount of Proteus' your alliance has lost lately, I'm sure it's not long before you're restricted to flying Dramiels and Enyos also. :)

Xor Keep in mind, the corporations forming FA DID come from somewhere, they didn't miraculously pop into existence.
I am not too worried about recruitment, people (and corps) come and go. As for DeTech, yes he was one of our main FC, but by no means the only one, we got more good FC that manage quite well, thank you. Heck, I will FC if need be, though I am not fond of the job.
I will start to worry about FA the day clients start complaining and stop hiring us.

Yes im sure it was all out of 'concern' You must have completely forgotten to come and 'congratulate' us when our last 3 corps joined. Especially when one of them has already netted us 40 JF and 40 freighter kills in 2 months. But sure, we are definitely dying.
As for internal politics, there are always two sides to every story and i don't take to much stock in people who judge an entire situation from only one perspective. They are generally not worth the time. If anyone is actually interested in the state of our alliance in relation to fulfilling contract those people are welcome to contact us.
I will also not get into smack talking about people in those situations on forums. Obviously i have more discretion and maturity then some other parties.
In regards to what ships i fly. I personally am not worried. Currently i have more kills and less deaths then your entire alliance so when that changes, let me know

I will explain how it works:
- We focus on Contracts, AoE is not, this a very low priority, if at all.
- Second, given we hunt and roam all over the place, solo players may be caught and lose, yes, that's the way it is (3 dead ships total on both side, 2m difference, get real man).
- AoE get 2-5 people online max at their peak time (I see a couple in my own time zone, sometimes). How many Fleet, POS, POCO or area interdiction are they gonna do?
- Take your pick MS. NPC corp, small timers or the big guys.

Thank you for the heads up Sahriah, however, the Age guys already completed waht I wanted them to using a different corp name, quite clever of them really. I +1 AOE for decent price and contract completion.
Also, you probably shouldnt hold grudges in internet spaceship land, it makes you look a little foolish. Just my 2 cents worth.

This post is laughable. Essentially Sahriah, what you are inferring by your comments is that if you hire FA to hunt down some targets and they all do the smart thing and fly in small, agile, fast ships that are hard to instalock on a gate in Hataknai/Sivala/Uedama/Niarja and or trade hub stations, then you wont bother adapting your "tactics" to this and just say "bollocks to this, too much effort" Is that what you mean by "We don't hunt them because as soon as we dec'd them they started flying just frigs"?
Well I'm terribly sorry for having common sense and flying ships that are hard to catch. YOU wardecced AOE. YOU are the aggressors. You want kills, were going to make you work for them.
I feel this lax attitude in endemic within Forsaken Asylum and also its predecessor Alliance Whores in Space. Both of which I was a member of. My friend and CEO Nox was once an alliance executor of FA, in fact he, myself, Scandor and a few others actually founded it so I know exactly the attitude you take towards hunting targets. FA are trade hub and pipe campers first and foremost. There are a few individuals who do work for kills and hunt their targets and those individuals are obvious when you look at the FA KB. DiequietlySTFU for example, has kills all over space.
Whores in Space was not an ironic name. It was named so for good reason. FA is a continuation of what WIS was. It was set up to try and change the attitude of sitting on stations and gates getting effortless kills which had become the norm within Whores but it seems like little to nothing has changed in that regard.
TL;DR Forsaken Asylum admit they cannot be bothered to work for kills unless they can instalock it in a Phobos sitting on a stargate. |

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank scandor and tea Earl Grey hot personally for the hours and hours of great, fun engaging and thrilling game time. Without them I would never have been able to have as much fun in EVE, never being a part of the huge fights I have been in or amazing kills. They really made the game for me and without the 14 billion isk they kindly donated to me none of it would have been possible.

P. S. I know scandor will boast I could have made way more if I had stuck around and just skimmed isk off the top like he does but I prefer to play eve the game not eve the interactive hatakani chat room.

Also to help anyone out who might get war decced by these guys I spent allot of time coming up with a forsaken survival guide, it can be tough out there but by using these special tactics you should be OK. I took time studying their killboard, shadowing their movements and speaking to them on comms to come up with this but I hope it helps.

I find the whole "Oh my you're flying small fast / cloaky ships" complaint a bit hypocritical to be honest. In our current war with KRAZE in the primary US TZ where we typically have numbers on them, guess what they choose to fly? You guessed it either a shuttle, an inty, a cloaky or a station.
Not all, just most (L3PP3R has ball of steel). And really that is fine. In fact it is smart, you just don't hand kills to your enemy. But come on, calling out your targets for doing the smart thing while doing it yourself is just sad.
BTW, when I log into the EU TZ where I'm outnumbered 20-1 by KRAZE you won't find me slow boating around empire in an armored brick. So call it what it is, respect for your opponent.

I don't hold a grudge. I was not even in the alliance at the time. I was simply answering a question that was posed to us. with relevant information. If you don't feel that stealing from his own alliance was relevant information for a mercenary corporation you are trusting your isk in, it doesn't bother me. Im sure Nox and his crew will be completely legit for as long as they feel like it. The second part being that the AOE war isnt a contract, we arnt trying to 'focus' on killing them, its just a war because of old history between the leaders. If i super duper wanted to go and hunt down frigates, i would go and try, but to be honest, id rather hunt the actual contract targets or a juicy rattlesnake.
Im not faulting anyone for flying frigates. Im explaining its not worth my time to hunt them when there's so much else i could do instead. Again i was answering a question, spin it however you want. |

Twice I've had to call on Forsaken Asylum for help and both times they lolstomped our opponents. Their prices aren't cheap but they are worth every isk and more because they actually hunt down your enemies and kill them. Too many merc corps just take your money and do nothing for it. Forsaken Asylum is a force to bring fear to your foes and a quick end to your wardec, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone. In our last war we also had to ask them to help us repair and defend a POS and the fleet they brought to the job was impressive beyond my wildest dreams. If you can find them, and afford them, then hire them. They are the A-Team. |

We are not bounty hunters, though we will cash in anything that come our way of course. As for buying killrights, if you want us to target specific individuals, more especially gankers, contact us in game for a quote, but it is not really what we do, so no promise.
As a general rule, if you want to punish a ganker that got you or one of your friend, and make some ISK on the side, put up a reasonable price on the killright and it WILL be collected, somewhere - by us, or anyone with a mind to kill a ganker.

I got wardec'd and my POS went into reinf before i even noticed it.

Well have employed them for while and tbh as long as it's easy they do their job but deep down scandor is a coward, so even though we kept paying them 2,5bil monthly he decided to break our contract, 2 days after our latest payment.
Not only that, a few weeks later he even betrayed us completely, thinking he could get away with a dec due to our other wardecs. He doesn't even have the guts to fight his former client alone, needs 3 other merc groups to have his back. Pathetic if you ask me.
So if you look for reliable and trustworthy mercs look elsewhere. These guys are nothing more than cheap decoration to scare carebear corp/alliances and even then, you'll never know when they will betray you on a whim. The moment tehre is risk for them involved, they'll be running...

I feel I need to provide my point of view here, as I have been the one directly in charge of communicating with Praetorian Directorate.
We were warned from the start, that Sengier was quite a rude individual. Despite my alliances initial concerns with dealing with him, I volunteered to be the screen between his attitude and our people knowing full well that he would be probably be insta-dec'd within a week had Scandor or Khromius had to listen to him.
This arrangement worked quite well for all parties for quite a few months. Seniger was indeed paying us to protect his alliance as per the details of our protection contract with him. While I will not go into too many specifics out of any remaining respect I have for the client, it is enough to say that he became increasingly rude and arrogant to the point that many of his own corp-members have complained to me about the way he acts. He has on multiple occasions addressed me with extreme aggressiveness and accusations only to withdraw them and blame his belligerence on his corp and alliance mates.
While I couldn't care less for how he important he wants to make himself feel, he has managed to bypass my filter and **** off not only our entire alliance, but 3-4 other separate groups, of which we do not always get along with. Instead of acknowledging this fact, he instead insists we all require each other to be brave enough to dec him, rather then understanding that I have been the only one holding back practically our entire alliance from hitting the dec button for several months now.
Perhaps Seniger, you will one-day learn to apply a filter to yourself, though I doubt it. Best of luck to you.

Hired them for a last minute POS defense.
When the enemy came with an unforeseeable huge fleet they negotiated and solved the situation for me.

Ok so most people would have known that fa is temporarily down.
