Hi!
Fanfest ticket sales will start in the first half of December. I look forward to seeing all of you in Iceland next spring. All of you!
We also plan to show you a video of the venue around the time we start the ticket sales :)

It is an amazing place, and this time is very close to the central city. It is easily within walking distance of pretty much all the hotels and guesthouses downtown.

Fallen Last year the tickets came as part of the Icelandair Package that included filgihts, accomodation, a few optional 'special' events (blue lagoon, goldern circle) and ofc Fanfest Tickets. I'd also suggest you get the transfer bus (-ú20) from the airport as its about an hours drive (unless you have a small fortune for the Taxi fare). If you go for just flights & accomodation I think you're looking at around -ú400, the events were about -ú50--ú100 each IIRC. Tickets (from 2009 and IIRC again) were about -ú70. Don't forget food and booze on top of all of that and be aware its more expensive in Iceland than in the UK. Hope that helps slightly. What's the duty free allowance in Iceland? How much cognac can I pack into a suitcase otherwise populated by 5 pairs of socks, a toothbrush and a spare T-shirt?
How much booze you can pack depends entirely on whether the two lonely gentlemen just chilling out that you walk past once you get your baggage we call "customs" decide they care. I've seen one dude fined for one bottle over the limit and watched people roll out cases of beer and liquor. There is no line from a line perspective. |

According to the official site you can import duty free:
- 1 liter spirits and 1 liter wine and 6 liters beer OR
- 3 liters wine and 6 liters beer OR
- 1 liter spirits and 9 liters beer OR
- 1,5 liter wine and 9 liters beer OR
- 12 liters beer.
Spirits comprise alcoholic beverages containing more than 21 percent alcohol;
Wines comprise alcoholic beverages, other than beer, containing 21 percent alcohol or less.
