So then you do it in a t1 vexor...
6mill lost in total, without insurance.
raven for the overkill!

Originally by: Pryest Hmmm...I figured someone would try and derail my suggestion...exactly how does one blow up a hauler in 1.0 with a t1 cruiser before you go pop? No setup I know of deals that kind of damage that quickly....if it could be done with a Vexor...the pirates would be using them to do it...if you dont know what you are talking about plz refrain from posting...over and out.
It can be done easily with a vexor, just ask Captain Rogi. Infact ill wager everything you have remaining vs everything I have on this.
Prepared to put your remaining isk where your mouth is?

Originally by: chillz You should ask your corp for an escort if you're going to carry all your stuff somewhere, however safe you think that space is.
Except an escort through empire is not going to prevent the distruction of your ship, and numerous of its contents.
If concord and sentrys cannot take out a cru iserbe fore he can pop ahau l er,yo ure s cort isnt going to be ab leto either.
Just use your brains, haul multiple loads, use better ships etc etc

Suppose, for example, you won ú5m on the lottery in RL. You wouldn't walk around London with it in my pocket, no matter how many police were about.
No, but he may walk around with it in his own pocket

Concord do show up to protect you, it just happens youve lost your ship before they get there.
You could be standing in a police station, next to a police man, this still does not prevent someone walking in and killing you, it just means they will be caught.
The same in this case. The criminal gets caught and gets punished, concord have done there job.
Oh and PS: Murders occure inside Jails and Military bases too, and you dont find much more heavily guarded than them.

Maybe so, but an escort could have put whats left that's valuable in their cargo holds and guarded any cans that they couldn't empty.
Understandable, but surely the best idea is not putting the target on your face in the first place

WTF?
Indiscriminantly slaughtering people doesnt mean you lack honor.

Originally by: Zillazuki It isn't right that you lost your stuff with no real penalty for the criminal. Maybe there should be harsher in game punishments to ensure stuff like this is too risky to pull off...
...maybe the pilot should be banished from the Region in question for a number of months (I am sure Concorde have the power to ensure that undesireables or whatever sec status cannot get through their gates), maybe a monstrous fine, there should be some form of legal system, post crime, in place in 1.0 systems to ensure this doesn't happen too often.
Or maybe, just maybe, you should accept some responsibility for your own safety.

Originally by: Nimie i can't Believe so many people don't see the flaw in this. 30m is not a risk. because of the chance of drop rate, any ship above 100m is at risk. you cannot call jita or any other space high security if you cannot even carry 100m safely there?
If you were moving 100mill in gold, past a police station, to your house, surely youd use an armored vehicle instead of a minivan?
Anyone who has 4bill in cargo in a ship worth a few hundred k, needs to stop, think, and consider investing in a transport, the eve equiv of an armored car.

May be(?) some of those players are "quite"(?) nice peoples in RL, but i dont think so! If you talk and act like this something is wrong ...must be
Personally I think anyone who sits in Judgement of another, over an action in a game is the one who is wrong.
Im sure you dont cry all the time in real life, so why would pirates be *******s in real life?

if the police station is so weak that muggers decide to rob me even with police precence, you know the police is sucky.
People die in Jail all the time, and you dont get much more heavily guarded than that.

Except I can lock and pop you before your escort even hears on TS that youre being fired on.

Originally by: Nimie i guess as i said again, this isn't in game mechanices. the current system allows anyone above 100m in cargo to be a prime suspect in high sec space. the current system makes jita one of the most profitable pirates spots in the game. that is retarded.
Yes it is in the game mechanics.
And of course the place with the most wealth, is going to be the largest target. Thats simple common sense.

But what you fail to see is that he coulda done this in any bs. Tempest mighta even been a faster kill. But what you don't understand is that he takes all the consequences for this character to do this to you. Blown up ship, can be shot in empire by all. Big sec loss, and might not be able to come back to 1.0 for a while.
This can be done in a cruiser if well thought out...
A lot of people seem to be forgetting about the kill right consequence. You know, that consequence that means that ANYTIME ANYWHERE in ANY SHIP, you can take your revenge on the pirate.
Grab a ship and go hunt the pirate, think out what he is doing and how hes accomplishing it, and bam, you have a very good idea of his setup. You know hes not using superman mods, chances are hes not even using t2 equipment... he now has to watch his back all the time. No afking in a freighter anymore, no safe lvl4 mission whoring, no safe empire mining... He or she is now responsible for his actions, and since RMR more so than ever.
The consequences are their, the mechanics are there...
The only thing that shouldnt have been there was a paper thin hauler filled with 4bill worth of stuff.
Oh and shaelin, this reply wasnt directed at you, I know you get it, I was just expanding on what you said.

For real though clearly this is an exploit trying to argue otherwise is silly.
Only CCP can decide whats an explait and what isnt.
Since this has been happening since the dawn of time, and CCP still havent classed it as an exploit... It isnt.
Arguing otherwise is silly.

Again it is a clear exploit obviously CCP never ment for people to be able to suicide on a player and have thier buddy or alt loot up whats left with no penalty.... OTHERWISE THERE WOULD BE NO CONCORD OR SECURITY HITS! get a clue. The guy took no risk why? Cause he knew the reward was far greater than the loss period end of story.
you obviously havent read CCP's comments on this matter
Of course people whine, its cause your sig sucks
