Ok, I see now multiple "bleeder" punisher setups
If you are going to use autocannons PLEASE use a 400mm plate.
BTW RP wise its a crime to fit minmatar guns on amarr ships

Just looked at the item database, punisher has 45 powergrid. With lvl 5 engineering its around 56 powergrid. 400mm plate uses 30 PG.
Just use a claw setup. The 400mm plate with 25% resist bonus will work wonders because if you get more damage than you can repair it provides a NICE buffer.

Ill take Punisher.
I meant you should use a 400mm plated claw setup for the punisher, not that you should use a claw instead of the punisher!
To squeeze a 400mm plate on a punisher is indeed hard, but it would leave you with around 1600 armor with 25% bonus resists.

Originally by: Peirato My generic setup: 3x 150mm 1x Nos
1x 1mn AB 1x 7,5k Scrambler
1x Small Armor Repairer II 1x 400mm plate 2x Capacitor Power Relay
The goal is to get into 500m orbit and fire your anti-matter charges.
Plus: You can run all modules 24/7 Tank and survilability
Negative: Low damage output Not able to dictate range
That doesn't add up to your powergrid. 56 PG total with eng V, your guns take 10 PG each so you have 26 left over for everything else. - 10 for AB means 16 powergrid, -5 for repairer means 11 powergrid, and you simply can't fit a 400mm plate that requires 30 powergrid on the remaining 11 powergrid. Quote: To squeeze a 400mm plate on a punisher is indeed hard, but it would leave you with around 1600 armor with 25% bonus resists.
And without the capacitor to repair it all. Especially against caracal's I've noticed that I am only negating their damage by sometimes 10-15, meaning shutting off that repairer can only happen once every so often to preserve capacitor if needed. Even with a 400m plate and 1600 armor, you don't have the capacitor avaliable to repair it from 100 back up to 1600, and you lose an incredible amount of damage output. Your idea has merit, and it's fine that you have a seperate opinion, but it is assuming that armor alone is going to hold it secure even in a 10-15 minute engagment against BCs.
You engage battlecruisers with your punisher? OMG I want a video of that
You would need a MAPC to fit the 400mm plate and the other stuff and yes the 400mm plate is not that good in fights that last about 10 minutes BUT it is superior in situations where you recieve more damage than you can tank! IMO such situations occur if you close the distance to your target, if you finally land at your 500m orbit the recieved damage decreases. The 400mm plate should help you to get from 10km, where you get webbed 70% of the time, to your 1km orbit where you have low transversal and recieve more damage.

If you assume that you fight noobs your setup will of course work. It is thought out to bash noobs in low sec that are mining or hunting npcs in battlecruisers with civilian guns.
BUT an unplated punisher will die in seconds to a cruiserpilot that knows what he is doing!
If you want to test this you can try to fight my maller/omen/arbitrator/osprey^^ in your punisher.

That's low, and it needs to stop. Save the "rookie" insults for Ginger Magician. Quote: BUT an unplated punisher will die in seconds to a cruiserpilot that knows what he is doing!
I rarely have that happen and I do not engage just "noobs". Perhaps it's a failure of tactics on your end that leads your punisher to always being destroyed? Quote: If you want to test this you can try to fight my maller/omen/arbitrator/osprey^^ in your punisher.
Why would I engage you 1v1 in a fight where you can already fit specifically against the setup I've just listed? How does that even make sense?
I dont want to insult people by calling them noobs! I was a pirate myself for a pretty long time! I did belt piracy exclusively in the Molden Heath region. I killed miningops, cruisers, battlecruiser in a maller and they were all TERRIBLY fitted! Their setups plain suck. I call these people noobs, they simple dont know it better.
If you want to test your punisher setups against a cruiser pilot that knows how to fit a cruiser, eve-mail me and bring some punishers to egbinger ;)
Your setup does NOT suck. It is very well thought out for low scale beltpiracy and will get many kills! I just wanted to give some further input on punisher setups that are possible.
