Ok!!!, this is not a "moan".
Last night i bumped into mOo and sinister, camping a gate.
I usually try and find another route, but if im in a hurry i will just pay.
Well last night i "needed to get back to my home system, so i asked the camper(xen0) how much?. i paid him 500k and continued on my journey. next system another camp, by the same corp, i told them that i had just paid and he could check, he said tough, and that i will have to pay again!!!!.
Billy from sinister told me that if i didnt pay i would die, so i just went to a station and had my dinner.
My point to this topic is now i will "never" pay another toll, whats the point?? if i pay at the gate then warp to another camp by the same pirates and have to pay again, then again then again!!. where will it end. they are wasting it for pirates.
Billy has now told me that im number 1 on his list now, what a waster.dont pay the toll and he now wants to kill me, he has made it personal. his mistake, i dont forget either.
Xen0 was polite, billy was a total prat.
So my warning to everyone is this, dont pay tolls, just log of and come back another time.
And billy, maybe someone who doesnt try to fight battleships in a moa isnt a coward. sigh.
Just thought id bring this up before pirates make a big mistake and waste an already rocky reputation.
IMO, a toll should get you free travel for a certain amount of time. maybe 30mins.

Agreed!!! whats the point in paying a toll for free passage, if the next system they try and charge you again. i cant afford to pay maybe 1.5 million in tolls for traveling through 3 systems.
Iv been called a coward because i dont fight stupid odds also.
Im a fighter and 0.0 space is becoming a joke with camping pirates. seems to be alot of stupid players about.

Maybe Billy was kidding around with you? You were both in Orvolle which is a 0.5 system. If you knew how secure space works you would have known that an attack in that system would be very very bad for him...

I've paid only one toll in my entire life and that was to pre-MWD days.
I guess it was just a mistake or summat.

The way that the security system works the now, i dont like taking too many chances.
You just cant tell how safe a 0.5 system is at the moment. i have been attacked before, without police appearing.
i was carrying a "very valuble" cargo and never thought the risk was worth it, 4 members of sinister were in that system at that time.
My point really is that this little toad billy has wasted a nice income. im happy to pay to get to somewhere quick. but not anymore, i would rather die than give into these "freeloaders".
I have only ever lost 1 ship to pirates and i have never been podded, this was the first toll i have ever payed, it will most deff be my last.
Billy was just being a griefer, role playing pirates can be fun. billy most deff wasnt.

Well, billy should have just asked for a cut of the original 500k. We camp FD-MLJ and PF-346, sometimes both at once, so the people in PF-346 sometimes get a little crabby at the lack of traffice. n_n

Give pirates what they deserve, the right to suck vaccuum, and i give them that right at every chance, with my 425mm railguns!
While i admit they have the right to be perfect butt heads i have the right to pod them every chance i get, screw paying,form alliances, help your friends build fleets train in anti camping warfare, do anything but pay! The only thing i give pirates is hot incomming rounds from my guns and torpedo launchers.
i agree roleplaying is FUN i play a Knight errent, or in simpler terms a Palidin, i'm not stupid and have no desire to lose a battleship on a fools errand but i don't have to i have friends who think and feel as i do and there out there, look around and unite it will take your game to a whole new level.

Beware of Xeno...he's not afraid to pod kill you without warning or reason. He laid low for awhile but now seems to be picking up steam...and he WILL die.

Darth,
You seem a fairly smart guy from your other posts, I cannot believe you cannot run these poxy blockades!
Noone (certainly not in a Moa, maybe different a low end indy or frigate) needs to pay these tolls because what with the 10 sec invulnerability and skills you can employ it is **** easy to get past them, no money for the pirates just a moon out of the co-pilots seat

Factory boy, i usually do just try and outrun these blockades. but when im carrying a valuble cargo its not worth the risk, and i also knew that i would come out of warp at 30k at this gate. and with ctds happening every 30mins it really is a "risk".
Oh and i was gagging to get to the pub. so 500k was worth it
This game should be pvp.
I like pirates, and enjoy roll playing with them.
To be fair xen0 was polite and kept his word, if he did blow my ship up, he would have been very happy with the cargo he found.
Im a mature player and know that EVE can be a very cruel game.
I just find myself bumping into "kiddies" all the time.
whats the point in making charachters if you dont try to role play a bit.
im curious are Rus, Sinister and MOo all allies??.
if so, thats kinda crap, do these corps never actually fight real battles?? or do they just camp gates all day, OMG how boring can that be.

Apparently it's a lot easier to talk tough from the deck of a Battleship, can't wait till I can get my own.

never paid a toll never will. ( I did pay once to humour novice pirate)
use bookmarks or hide and log.
i get called a bookmark slag or alternatively a coward.
i dont care fu pirates youll NEVER get a dime from me.
if EVERYONE adopted this policy (and made sure they self destructed ships if attacked) pirates wouldnt make a dime and there would be none.
easier said than done i suppose.

Davian, although pirates are stupid, they do sometimes camp the only way in and out of systems.
Darth had a expensive cargo and this time just decided to pay, rather than take the risk.
And he was gaggin on a pint at the pub, if that isnt a good enough reason nothing is.

At no point did i ask you for a one on one go!!.
I havnt been playing this game very long, so i cant really afford to risk my ship in petty personal feuds with imature players.( u will prob just bring your friends anyway).
Maybe 1 day we will meet on my terms. like they say. revenge is a dish best served cold.
Oh!! and ive heard that u can get radiation poisoning if u stay close to a gate for more than 3 hours, maybe thats whats fried your brain.
i love this game.

I ran into xeno last night while flying a shuttle; he didn't offer me a chance to pay a toll (not that I would have anyways) but I must admit it woke me up on my 36 jump trip.

Hate to say it darth but ALL pirate corps are not immune from the BS rap in local.
In fact the other day space invaders 3 of them were around in BS's. I guess some guy had trap locked down while he sat on top of a dock waiting to dock in case anything bad happened. Then the two other ships showed up and the guy warped out.
Trap kept saying things like you're such a ***** etc... in local.
Trap, billy etc... are trying to get you ****ed so you do something stupid. In fact alot of people employ this tactic however some have a bit of tact a larger vocabulary.
I saw one pirate hunter simply say "Come on, I think you can make it" and then the guy came to the gate and went boom!
So while although it is a valid tactic to infuriate the enemy just realize that certain people lack the intelligence or creativity to come up with anything but "d00d ur a wuss".

Ha Ha hitgirl, you are the sort of "pirate" that will ultimately ruin the game for the others of your ilk. How ever much I despise the pirate element in this game, I am the first to admit that it would be an extremely boring game without them.
If pirates want to waste their valuable time "camping" a gate, let them. They are probably boring sons-of-*****es in real life as well. But you Hit Girl, you sound like a petulant little girl; this game should have an age limitation and an IQ test; you would indeed probably fail both.
