Suggested Goals for Apprentice Pilots:
#1 TRAIN ALL LEARNING SKILLS TO LEVEL 4-5 and have 3 million skill pts in LEARNING category.
#2 TRAIN ALL GUNNERY or MISSILE SKILLS to level 4-5 and have 2 million skill pts in that category.
#3 train all frigate & cruiser skills in your race to level 4-5 and battleship to level 3 minimally.
#4 purchase a mining ship and learn how to Afk mine, ninja mine and group mine.
#5 purchase a warship to kill npc rats and learn how to solo hunt and group hunt.
#6 purchase an industrial ship and learn how to haul in solo mining and group mining.
#7 Install team speak, purchase a headset, register on server and learn to use team speak.
#8 play eve at least one hour per day if possible. let others know when you will be online.
#9 purchase other needful skills and train same to level 3 or 4 initally.
#10 expand the size of your wallet to 100 million isks by mining, hunting & doing missions.
#11 generously give of your time to help others in training on a regular basis.
#12 follow the suggestions of leadership

GETTING STARTED...
1. Cold Blade has provided you with a 100,000 isk fast start bonus.
Spend it wisely. It's important to have a good MINING ship.
War is abundant in 0.0 space. You will have your fill of killing soon enough.
Oddly, I feel safer in 0.0 space than Empire. There are no pirates in 0.0
Note: Rats are computer controlled ships. Pirates are controlled by other
human players who have dedicated themselves to prey upon the weak.
Pirates are not permitted in RESA nor 0.0 space. Pirates are killed in 0.0
2. Have you completed the many TUTORIALS in the game? If not, please do so now. Learn to navigate around in the game. Be sure to complete the station tutorial.

3. Skill training is important. BUY LEARNING CATEGORY SKILLS. Train them all to at least level 4. Start with the Learning skill and the Memory skill. Then train all the others.
4. What do I do while training skills? Mine. Do level 1 missions. Hunt and kill rats aka NPC controlled by Eve. Talk to your corp mates. Talk to your training officer.

The Golden Rules
If you are going to do any PvP you must follow these two rules.
(Just to clarify this: PvP does not just mean going out to find someone to shoot, it includes flying through low sec, flying through 0.0 and even empire space if there are wars on. In fact it could also include general 0.0 activities)
Only fly what you can afford to lose.
DonÆt Panic!!!
So to the first point, donÆt put all your eggs in one basket, if you want to have a go at PvP take a T1 frig for the first few ventures, if you have a load of expensive stuff to haul make several smaller trips. Basically the point is to ruin someone elseÆs day, not yours!
On the second û I have been involved in many kills where the target could probably have survived, or at least taken some of us down with him, if they had kept their cool and fought back. Lots of people seem to lock up like a rabbit in a carÆs headlights and do nothing. They are probably desperately re clicking "warp to" or their tanking. Keep cool and fight back, if they start to take losses they might bail out.
