Not fitted for pvp in any sort of way, as you are going to get your ass stomped by the POS if you don't. Battleships were essentially fitted with extreme Thermal/Kinetic shield tanks. No webs/warp distrupters / nos / neuts / jammers / dampers, because those are all worthless against a POS. So when snigg came in, there was no way to keep them from withdrawing, boosting up and returning, as the POS prevented any kind of tackler to get within range. As for the dreads, despite what most people think, they are siege machines not pvp ships. They can't hit anything but stationary targets when in siege mode and are easily dampened/jammed when not. And like every ship in the game, if you nos the **** out of them, their toast. Snigg played there cards to their finest, very good situation, very good timing. That's how they killed the dreads. As for only taking out 3 (2 actually this time) POS, these dreads have already paid for themselves several times over in the destruction they committed since we initially built them. We were just caught off guard by snigg's attack, we had no expectation that anyone would come to the rescue of a halfwit social pariah like ginger. Oh well, easily remedied.

But I understand if math isn't your strong point. Taking into account insurance, and that we don't not pay any where near open market prices for capital ships the losses came out to about 1.8 billion which included the modules (which we pay below market for as well). And the lesser ships losses came out to about, 80 million. As for your losses, those small towers were valued at least 200 million isk each (the towers them selves are 100mil each). And that hefty fitted battleship you traded for a caracal. Even with insurance the loss on that was about 75 million (most of the gear survived btw :D) A more accurate account would be about 1.9 billion to 500 million. Which outside of context may seem steep? But once you realize, that 2 billion isn't terribly hard for use to make up (10-12 days) whereas it may take you a month or more to make up your 500 million in losses (this is a generic estimate based on your goveling earlier btw :D)

There's clearly one bitter part here, at least. And you can refer to isk all you want. Emmerich have said it, I have said it and I am pretty sure Mujun can come up with colorful way of putting it, so you could understand it: Isk losses on our side does not factor in to our succes requirements (and especially not super exaggerated as they are here). Not attacking you on the other hand... That would have been a bitter pill. Helping you... That must have been a bitter pill. But one thats probably easily washed down with 3 dreads. And you make a distinct error in mistaking righteousness for grudge. To harbour deep-seated resentment would require you to be quite a bit less comical.

If it was me, I would have gone for the dreads too. The chance of taking on 3 dreads and a bunch of bs sounds like a really good fight. Any dread deaths is just a bonus. However, I would have let ginger's tower burn first :)

Ginger Magician	Posted - 2006.02.06 16:11:00 - [80] If there was no pos it wouldnt have been in seige mod.Snigg knew the only chance they had was to attack at the large pos while the dreads were in siege.The 2 small pos were poorly defended (only small and medium guns) and ofc they have less hps.Vogon were actually having trouble with my large pos thats why they had to bring up 3 dreads.They destroyed the 2 small ones using only 1 dread.

Emmerich Steiner	Posted - 2006.02.06 16:40:00 - [82] We weren't having problems with your large POS, we brought in the other 2 dreads because the pilots logged in, and the more the better. If you would of turned your guns on snigg, you would of lost your POS. Our Battleships had no problems tanking your damage and Im sure sniggs wouldn't either espeacilly with a quick refit. The dreads were there, simply to make it go down faster.

Only on the moros kill did your pos out damage each bs, though the bs damage together was way more than the pos. Well it was the direct result of your corp declaring against one of our sister corps. It shouldn't be that hard to find out which one. It is standard procedure to war dec corporations that declare against our close friends. As you have pulled your war dec, the war will cease as soon as the bill lapses (no reason for us to pull it early, as we did pay for it :D)
