Yeah, I know ANOTHER ONE. But having checked 10 pages I couldn't find a thread to hi-jack, so I'm starting this one. Basically I need some advice on my setup, which is as follows:
4x Heavy Missile Launcher Is 1x 'malkuth' assault missile launcher I
1x Invul Field I 2x Cap Recharger Is 1x barton reactor capacitor recharger I 1x medium converse I deflection catalyzer
2x Power Diagnostic System Is

if its for NPC'ing id recomend 2 npc specific hardeners a medium shield booster, and a cap recharger insted of keeping the shield booster constantly on, puls it.. so you dont run ouf of cap.. your cap recharge is best at about 30% ppl say, but personaly i prefere to keep it around 50% same with the shields, they recharge best at about 30-40% so keep it above 40% is my recomandation.
for guristas use Thermal and Kinetick hardeners for serpentis use thermal and kinetick for angel use em and kinetick for angel use em and thermal.
keep the lov's and swapp the assault launcher for another heavy launcher, or swapp the heavy's for assault launchers..
for PVP, heavy launchers or assault launchers (theyr better against frigg's and still decent against cruisers) fitt a 20km scrambler and 3 multispectral ECM's pdu or cpr in the lovslots..
cheers! Fogy "From my rotting boddy flowers shall grow and I am in them, and that is eternity" ♥RUBRA♥

Looks like a good ratting setup to me. Might wanna goto specific hardeners as suggested above.
Hey Fogy, where is that quote in your sig from? It's ridiculously cool.

I'm guessing that as you have pds and an assault launcher, that you don't have the skills to run 5 x heavy's. If you want to do the 0.0 rats you really need 5 heavy's and a BCU in low perferably tech II. I'd also be tempted to fit a WCS as it gives u a getoutquick clause. For med's, the Caracal has terrible cap and can sheild tank quite well so i'd put on a shield extender, 2 x rat specific hardners, AB. The fifth slot you can any number of differnt modules on: if you've got the range on the missles use a sensor booster. Invuln shield is good, or a shield booster. The later will eat your cap if your not careful.
I quite often team up with a friend in a BS and me in a Caracal. The Caracal can take on the cruisers, frigates and contribute to the BS kills and run around picking up the loot, whilst the BS concentrates on the BS's. this is on multiple 1.5mill BS spawns.

Try a large shield extender, works wonders. ___________________________ Brutors Rule! My Eve-vids; Click. |

Well, some useful advice so far. I realised I hadn't stated the use or my skills just after I'd switched off my pc.
The setup is for general belt ratting/mission running in Empire (0.0 is abit unlikely), I try and avoid PvP since I'm usually outgunned and outnumbered.

get ya shield op up, whack a Med II booster in there... get engineering up.. use a PDU 2 (or 2x PDU2..)
Named or t2 if you can afford/use them. its soo much better :) IIRC medium booster II only needs Sheidl op 3..

Edited by: Viscount Hood on 06/02/2006 12:42:10 Edited by: Viscount Hood on 06/02/2006 12:41:41 This is a fun setup I use to kill Scorpion npc's (though it takes a while) 3 x assault launchers 2 x heavy 2 x large shield extenders 1 x medium shield extender 1 x small shield booster II or named 1 x invuln field 1 x PDS 1 x BCU
If you want to be really silly go for 5 x assaults and 3 x L shield extenders for over 7k in shields.

I'm guessing you hoping to mwd in fast get the webbers on and then keep with them. I'd be tempted to change one of the wcs for at least one overdrive named if possible that way you can at least keep up without the mwd on.

anyway, it looks like i cant fit all that... the med nosfe takes 175 powergrid... ill drop it for a small one then... i dunno yet what speed could have an inty with 2 webs on it when MWDing. -------- Necroth |

I'm not running the math so it might not fit, how about a named med nos though as small might not hack it on a cruiser. I know dropping one of the wcs might seem risky, but if your setup to take out a smaller ship you really shouldn't have to warp out. If you were at any point to drop both it would free up some more options for you.
