I have looked and looked in belt after belt and cannot find any Omber. I've searched in many .5 systems that used to be full of the stuff. If can't all be mined out. Has anyone else experienced this, or is it just me? Has there been a reduction in Omber since RMR?

Omber can be mined out of a system in one day. Shocking, but true. I've friends who arrange their playing schedule to mine on that 'one day' that the roids reform so as to have something before 'they' mine the complete system out.

At least you have seen some. I've been looking in every .5 system I go through (and a few .4) and I have yet to see any.

Omber Zombie took it all.... Him and his mates at EVE University have figured out a way, like ancient alchemists, to turn Omber into Dark Ochre.

Basic rule: When there is one station in system, then there is a certain chance that you won't find any omber or kernite.(Or even totally stripped belts.)
I doubt the situation would change if ccp would centralize refining to one or two sectors per constellation, and sectors with stations offering refining would have no belts.

get dark ochre in pf-346 but be careful lots of ****ers there lookingto kill any miners they see . take escorts plus many escort in bs and tech 2 assault frigs and cruisers

I find omber on any day of the week. You just have to look in all the places it can be. none in .5 check .6 then .7
Helps to have some SQL skillz, but I'm sure one can get by without them.

Its around. I mining Golden, Silvery, and Normal Omber in 0.7 sec as I type this. Just do what the tutorial says, look at the map and go where people aren't now and haven't been in a while. Not sure if it helps, but keep looking and you'll find it.

Oh, there's Omber all right...more Omber than the holds of many haulers can carry. You just have to know where to look, as someone else said earlier.
I won't tell you where I mine, but in my sweet, sweet location, Golden Omber and Silvery Omber asteroids are replenished every Tuesday and Thursday. It's in higher than 0.5 space, so no pirate worries, and (for reasons I haven't figured out yet) no one is ever in the system...at least when I'm on. Okay, enough with the hints . The rats are little more than mere annoyances, even though I solo-mine, because my scout drones easily take them out.
In leisurely mining of four hours a day in my Covetor I can pretty much get all the Omber in the system in a little over two days...yep, there's that much. So it's usually only Sunday and Monday that the system has no Omber, during which times I mine Scord or Plag. Tuesday comes around and my cycle begins again.

if you want to know a few places, look at where it is selling in the markets, most people are lazy(or their refinning sux), and tend to sell it in the same system they mine it in. mine some of the other stuff there as well, if you cant strip a whole belt take half, if you cant take half take what you can.
in gallente space look in 0.6 and below

Try the systems north of Stacmon, at least the .3s. There are sometimes pirates and npc cruisers (which is why I was there) but I do see omber and jaspet most times I'm there.

I haven't found any high sec system worth mining in a long time, thanks to all the macroers and stripmining barge fleets. I've been trying low sec and for a long time it worked well, untill a bunch of pirates showed up in the system and made hauling ore impossible. I've been looking for a new system but usally a day after I start mining pirates show up.

I have been surrounded ny omber for days!! Nothing but omber... When what I really want is some kernite.. :P Cantact me ingame and I'll toss ya a .5 full of omber. :P

ombar is in gallente space.. if you can't find any, it's cause you are most likely in another faction's space:)
there's tons everywhere in gallente.
kernite is.. amarr I think..

We mined tons of omber out in Detorid the other night. We honestly didn't know what we were going to do with all the isogen. Then we realized that we had about a 1:4 nocx:iso and everything was good.
Oh, wait, you're in highsec. Nevermind!
