I got a msg to leave, however, I dont always read my eve-mails the second I get them. Infact I was dealing with RL matters. I docked for a bit so the npc's wouldnt get me while I was on afk. When I came back I set course to head back as I didnt see what Iw as looking for there and undocked. Next thing I know I am dead. Congradulations are inorder for FA. They are certainly tough guys. Then they proceeded to pod-kill me for no reason. Hope you are proud to join the likes of Mo0.

They are not told to podkill, but it is neither discouraged. Every pilot is allowed to ***** the egg if he/she wishes too. You can reenter fountain again if you pay to get a Passport. We sent you a message and gave you several minutes to either join the fountain channel, contact us in local or reply by evemail. We even watched and waited as you flew past us and docked. You had plenty of chances to contact us and tell us you were leaving. Everyone else manages it. As I told you in our subsequent eve mail conversation you weren't podded on purpose but killed by the splash damage from cruise missiles. Oh and BTW don't you think its rather foolish to be AFK in 0.0 sec space?

Not all of are highschool punks that live with mommy and daddy. Sometimes we have to be responsable and if that means taking my eyes off of Eve, for OH MY FOCKING GAWD----10 MINUITES, then us adults must do that. EveJunkie	Posted - 2003.08.30 06:58:00 - [12] Even though we lost some ships it was actually a lot of fun. I don't mind loosing my scorp, it was insured and I'll pick up my replacement tomorrow. The only complaint I have with the battle is the smack talking in local, it doesn't make you guys look big or intelligent. You'd get a lot more respect if you guys didn't talk so much **. And no we didn't all run and hide those of us that were online stood and fought. You tactics were good and you stayed and fought us unlike previous encounters so fun was had and all is good. I wish wolverines bounty had been more than 275K tho, didn't make much difference to my bank account. Oh and Reclamer most of the players in the FA are over 24 already. I'm 29 and CEO of 2 companies so I've got lots of RL ** to deal with but I dock and/or log off b4 going AFK in 0.0 space. Its common sense man, you wouldn't leave your car unlocked with the doors open in a dodgy part of town while you popped into a shop would you?

The second battle at the station was a totally different story, they had tons. A lot of them ran right off the bat (such as Fishy from Doped Players INC, who ran the second one of us locked him, haha). There was like 35 people in local and only 9 were us, 7 of which were battleships. So yeah we were pretty out numbered. They also had tons of drones out, which lags you, so they had a good amount of time to shoot at us first. =P They might have taken down one of our battleships at the station fight had most of them not run like babies at the start. They're just as bad as we are, and they'll destroy your ship just as quickly as we would. Don't be decieved. People complain about pirates blockading, but you don't hear the chorus of crying over corporations that bind together to completely lock you out of entire regions of the game. That being said, Fountain is probably the weakest of the alliances. They however would be totally unable to set up shop in Stain, Fountain or Venal. They are good at PVP and Stavros is an underestimated production tycoon BUT a constant warfare against established corporations is a whole another ballgame than playing "jump over the fence and slap the next person before running away gloating". A prepared battle fleet with experience PVP players can and will wreake havoc upon unprepared locations. Look at the battles in Venal and the incursions by m0o/sin into Fountain. This is not rocket science. Stain has an advantage over Fountain and Venal. They just need to set up guard at a single gate one jump from a station and they have 3 regions totally locked down. Fountain and Venal do not have this advantage, Fountain is a single region with 2 entry points and Venal is 3 regions with 2-3 entry points. Closing them off is much harder because 1 of the entry points for Fountain and 2 (I think) for Venal are FAR AWAY from the next station. Stain were the first to arrive and have used that time wisely, that choke point can be guarded by a battleship fleet and nothing will go through.. not even m0o and Sin unless they are invited (with news spreading about Stain having made a pact with m0o that is a possibility). ¼©¼ a history

A venal station is being sieged by evo/xan forces and the only thing we can do is chase them to their safespots or have them chase us away. Then we go back to usual business until they occupy the station again and the cycle repeats itself in one way or another. I don't blame the attackers for hiding tho, it's just EVE's combat system thats ******. Sounds like m0onister's been having the same thing in fountain.

CCP said that it would be possible to take over regions in the game but it would take more than just killing the pirate force that controls the region, eventually regions will be claimable as yours ,so what is wrong with getting a headstart on this and forming an alliance to claim such a region? Regional alliances derive their legitimacy in non-Empire low sec space by a simple rule: whoever has the most hard-points is right. You as a player have the right and freedom to enter and access ingame content but like many salutary lessons in life, you have to understand the importance of the illusionary concept of free will. You do have a choice - it's just not much of a choice :P Reminds me of an insight made by Hunter S Thompson regarding claims of 'executive privilege' with regard to a subpoena for the White House to hand over the Watergate tapes which rather neatly explodes the gap between authority and power: "When he calmed down a bit, one of his advisers suggested that a mass crucifixation of Russian Catholics - for no reason at all - would almost certainly raise hackles in the Vatican and no doubt anger the pope. KOS is not an answer. Region claimed, and passes setup to allow you access for a fee. Coming in and not obtaining a pass is an offense to the corporations who have claimed that region. This is offensive and is a rule which was made for that area. By coming there multiple times is a repeat offense. If we jsut said, oh well, let him be, then you would never obide by the rules set out. Thus, KOS/Pod Killing is the last alternative to stop your repeat offesivness. Don't like it, Don't go there, else buy a pass, it is not alot really considering the possiblilities of isk raking there. You will make more than you paid for the pass and you wont need to come here moaning about not being able to have everything in life for free. There is always a price tag on everything. Some hate it, some are ok with it, others don't gives a rats ass either way. But not everyone can be happy with any setup, if we let everyone just fly in with no action taken, there will be no safety considering we could let all kinds of people in possibly, some pirate members, ect.. which then you have no safe haven to go about your business there. We provide security in these areas and always have safe passage in mind. Simple, effective, and easy to follow. Can't understand it? Don't like it? Quit making othes out to be pirates, when in fact we are enforcing the rules which were created. There are any options for you to choose, stay out, pay, join one of the many corps within the FA, and come join us and not worry about it. ? Hard descisions, but complaining here is not going to change it... You are warned before hand, you are given the option to obtain a pass, you are allowed to leave if you dont wish to obtain a pass, refusing to leave after refusal of paying, is result to violent actions. I have a quote from The Reverend way back in June saying the same thing about Mara/Passari The only difference is the word "pass" - he used "toll". You can dress it up pretty much any way you want mate but what you do is exactly the same as m0o (the original m0o) did way back then. I don't much care one way or the other but IMHO regional alliances that charge for "access" are exactly the same as "pirates" that charge a "toll" so you can get somewhere. End of story.
