One of the ways to get ISK in EVE Online is to run lucrative missions. Missions will also give you access to higher level agents for that corporation or faction and give LP to use in a corporationsGÇÖ LP store for great gains. With increasing levels of the agent, however, the missions get tougher. And that is not mentioning either Epic Arc missions or Cosmos missions. Tougher missions means you might need to get assistance from other players in doing them. There are a few ways to get assistance of course, mostly in the form of either information and knowledge, or simply get another player to join you in your mission. Or even a group of players.
This weekGÇÖs Featured Fansite can provide you with this assistance. http://helpmymission.com/ is a place that focuses a lot of mission knowledge and information into one accessible site. BorisHotch decided one day that he wanted a hub from where players could get help with their missions after he helped one such player with a mission that had been giving him trouble for several hours. It started as a chat channel but has grown with time into a full-fledged collection of helpfully minded people that donate ships and skill-books to the cause and BorisHotch gives it to those that need it. The channel itself is still active in-game and is appropriately named HelpMyMission. If you are in need of help with any of the missions you are doing, hop on in there and see if the residents of the channel canGÇÖt give you tips or points, or even join you on the mission to help you. Likewise, if you want to help players along in their quest for higher standings, more ISK, or that juicy LP, stay in the channel and lend your experience to those that need it. It is guaranteed to help.
The site itself has a massive amount of useful information for anyone and everyone that runs missions. It has a breakdown of damage types dealt and what damage types to use against certain factions of NPCGÇÖs, Epic Arc locations, Complex and FW Complex restrictions, Security status penalties and restrictions, a list of fittings for many of the ships that are recommended mission runners, FAQGÇÖs about everything related to PvE activity, and a full glossary list of the many acronyms that EVE pilots have created. Head on over to the site and check it out, it is bound to have something that helps you in your endeavors.
There are many more Fansites that might hold exactly what you need to assist you in EVE Online or list the information you never knew you were missing. Take a look; it is almost guaranteed you will find something to your liking. Alternatively, check out the last Fansite that was featured in this thread. The featured Fansite is picked at random every two weeks to showcase the important, community driven work these content creators bring to EVE Online. I've lurked around the HMM channel on and off for many years now, a nice group of people and a great service Boris has set up. For anyone struggling to get to grips with a mission I'd highly recommend giving these guys a shout, someone will be able to give you a hand, either advice or by bring more lasers... never have enough lasers! |

Lovely and helpful community! Also a good place to get advice for some less common fits/ships. Don't be mistaken by the name 'HelpMyMission, you can get advices concerning ships/fits for various activities(depending who's on), albeit main focus is mission. If you got troubles with a mission, people can advise and perhaps even help you if you're close enough. All in all, if you look for a place to lighten up your missiondays, HMM is the place to be! You may find me lurking with intent in the channel, always willing to chat about missions and help a fellow pilot in need :)

When I first started playing many years ago I was trying to find help in the rookie help channel for a mission I was stuck on, someone steered me to HMM to ask for help. As my sp's increased and was then able to handle the missions on my own I stayed there seeing if I could help other players out as well glad HMM getting some props |

Is this mission channel still primarily used for ganking mission runners and stealing their loot? I haven't been there in awhile. See Bio for isk doubling rules. -áIf you didn't read bio, chances are you helped fund those who did. |

Hello,
I am happy to see help sites spolighted. There seem to be certain sites above all tho that have 'good' information but still require one to do effective research on it and not hand out spoilers.
I was streamin the last few nites tryin to get my streams to work and almost gave up when it is finally taking shape on my meager ISP; lady luck is always nice; but I am starting to mention right at the start and actually warn new players that any help you get will spoil your game.
Eve Online is a chance to really learn how to survive and a place where one doesnt have to 'give up'; if Eve Online hits ya like a ton of bricks, go back and play some other MMOs for awhile; it is a nice break; then you will realize that this game in it's own way is worth a sub; I am payin a year's worth I dont care; I dont have to want to worry about making oodles of ISK in the near future; I want to play the game and learn.
I actually am starting to learn tactics that I thought were right and had to change on the fly to survive; I learned new things this first week back; that feeling of having another 'winning' edge and learning it yourself is more gratifying than looking for it somewhere else.
Make a video whil yer playin if you can then go back over it and watch yerself; I was dumb-founded last nite about somethin; went over my vid and it was me all the time that made the blunder; I gave myself a pat on the back during the vid and said it will be okay...:)
This game has a slow learning curve; dont jump in; only fools rush in; take yer time and enjoy the learning while it lasts; I will never be as good as the next person on Eve; but I will be as good as I want to be, and however I wish to be; and there is no shame in asking for help - sometimes.
I think there must be ways to ask for help without spoiling things but that is kinda tough in this game; most of all learn patience with yourself and learn from the loss of ships and podding.
It takes a good month to get podded gracefully; minimum; bare minimum; the frustration may only get worse when you lose a 1Bil ISK ship; but if you got a Trill in the bank and you make a few BIL every month...:)

So it really is the game of ISK. The goal on everyone's agenda is "I need to make ISK". Go go go, moar ISK.

The goal of any mmo is to win like any game all " winning " can be different for any person from just trolling to stirring the pot to collecting some items or Isk or just chatting with people or meeting people. I am glad their are people to help other and that's great that the this group is being recognized. |

Isk is needed... not as final target, but as a means to have fun in EvE. As for me, the greatest thing in EvE is peeveepee. How will i manage to replace lost ships, if i don't have the iskies? I'll need some good modules and neat ships eventually. That's why i need isk. And there's no problem with that. What, do you think CCP should give away ships and mods for free, everytime? That is silly, that would spoil all the fun. If there is no risk, there is no reward. If you don't agree, go have fun in RL... i bet it's far more boring than EvE. |

There are a few ways to get assistance of course, mostly in the form of either information and knowledge, or simply get another player to join you in your mission. Or even a group of players.
Currently I find it unwise to team up with anyone with eve. Here are several reasons for that: A) Missions are not heard enough to require other player B) Missions do not require another role (tackler, ecm, small ship, logistics...) you can split up salvaging role but thats it. C) Mission reward is just not enough to split up with many people. D) Even in high sec you need to think twice with who you fleet up with
Also when I was doing epic IVs with my friend to buff up the corporation reputation the reputation give out landed on my character even it was our purpose to share the reward since she had worse reputation than me. The empire reputation did not share and I contacted CCP and I was told that empire reputation split was a bug and it was never suppose to split.. Even weirdly it did split for tens of missions before. So what is my point to team up?
CCP please buff up reason for people to teamup other than ganking. Thank you!

Hi.
I've been away for nearly 3 weeks on Holiday in Florida so was a great surprise to come back today and find the HMM Channel as the Featured Fansite.
We've been going from strength to strength, with a great amount of help given all over Empire.
Since being featured, the traffic to the website has gone through the roof, so hopefully that will let even more people know that we are out there
Cya in HMM hopefully.
