Edited by: Rust on 30/08/2003 10:47:44 A number of Corp members became involved in a dispute in Syndicate space (0.0 system). Unfortunatly this resulted in a ship being destoyed. The Corp member involved in this got a security hit.
On querying this, he was informed that since it happened in Empire space he was meant to take a security hit.
Now none of us thought this was Empire space, and looking the map, I can't find any information indication that this is Empire space.
Just what and where is Empire space, and how can you determine this?

Open your map, and, in the search window, there is an option to colour the stars by sovereignty. So, basically, space that has no sovereign empire, is... non-empire space. _______________________________________________

Wrong, empire space has stupid definitions. Syndicate shouldnt be empire space but its considered so. It doesnt really have anything to do with the soverignity on the map (considering the Guristas space etc.) -

Edited by: Anderi Bourdieu on 30/08/2003 12:29:10 No, Viceroy the colored stars on the sovereignty map ARE empire space. Just because you think it shouldn't be or is 'stupid', doesn't make it so.

Before I made the post I checked the the map - Stain was coloured - and I KNOW that Stain is not Empire space. I seem to remember that Empire space was that owned by about 5 races (A DEV named them, and they were based on Ammar etc), and that the map made clear who the owners of space belonged to. I now find both where Emire space is, and how the Security system works totally baffling.

Funny, in the old days I pirated in the Syndicate a lot, never got sec hits anywhere inthere. And no I'm not talking about those m0o systems, if they're even syndicate at all.

Yes as i said, security areas are very stupid atm. you get sec hit in one part of a region and you dont in another. Same thing happens in Syndicate. GM verified it and gave me back my security that i lost down in providence :D said it was not meant to be like that. -
