Here's your other issue. You have 75 m3/bandwidth. You should have a set of T2 Hobgoblins and a set of T2 Hammerheads in there. With that and Drone Interfacing to atleast 4, you shouldn't have any issues with cruisers at all.
That is not good enough by far, with that strategy only AFKing will work. If you have hopes of actaully doing the mission rather then AFKing, shattered dreams you will have.
Sadly I do not have drone interfacing 5 or combat drones 5 then special to 4-5. Wondering how those cruisers are with those skills under the belt or would still pretty much have to afk through it. |

Well, even if you can't pop the cruisers with your Tachs, you should still be able to hit the BS while TD'd so you just keep clearing those while your drones chip at the cruisers. |

Korgan Nailo wrote:Got "The Blockade" against Sansha. Yay right?
Wrong, I couldn't finish and had to warp out in shame.
In case someone is interested, this is my ship / fit / skills: Nightmare Tachions: Imperial Navy Multifrequency: 36.4km optimal, 782 DPS Imperial Navy Xray: 54.6km optimal, 651 DPS Imperial Navy Standard: 72.9km optimal, 521 DPS
One TE equiped. With 2xTC with Tracking Speed: 0.0375 tracking, 31.2 fall off With 1xTC with Tracking Speed and 1xTC with Optimal Range: 0.0306 tracking, 39.3 fall off With 2xTC with Optimal Range: 0.0238 tracking, 46.1 fall off
Ever since I moved to Amarr for missioning, I had little problem with Sansha after I switched for a Nightmare. The Abbadon was ok, but with only 10kms, some missions were almost impossible specially because I still can't use T2 ammo.
With that said, it was with great desolation that I warped out from a The Blockade L4 against Sansha simply because 4 elite cruisers orbiting me at 25kms were "unkillable".
I had all five light combat drones on one of them, and was also shooting the same cruiser. They went all the way from 50kms to 25kms without me being able to kill a single one, until finally all battleships from the wave reached their "optimal" and I simply couldn't tank the pocket anymore.
Then warped back in at 70kms, of'course they TDd me again, but this time I was lucky to only have two TDs landing. Third and fourth didn't land before I could blow up at lest one of those cruisers. Had to use one TC with Tracking Speed and another with Optimal Range or no hits, as usual.
When the TD takes place my Optimal goes to hell, being about 12kms with Standard crystals as my Tracking, going to 0.004.
So, here are my two questions: - Am I doing something wrong or TD is really this f(word)ing annoying? - Is there any better way to counter TD?
Move directly towards the ship you're shooting at. It will try and move away from you. Transversal drops, your tachs murder.

Three easy ways:
1) I jump in with arty ship + SEBO salvager alt. As long as you keep the latter out of danger (easy with some practice) you won't have issues.
2) I jump in "baby varg" (close range 800mm ACs) + arty second ship. The buggers will harass the close range BS which will melt them, the other pounds on the more distant battleships and kills incoming other stuff.
3) I only jump in with close range ship and use faction AB a lot to catch the battleships once I melted the close range ships. |

One thing you can do, is create an alt. Skill him to be a speed tanked frigate (takes less than a day). After that, skill him for a drake. This allows another guy to deal with all the issues, leaving your nightmare to pound whoever, and whatever he wants. Also nightmares are limited to EM/Therm damage, while caldari is limited to the opposite. Meaning those missions where your nightmare has some trouble, wont anymore. |

I used to have 2 tracking computers on my paladin to run that mission in my carebear past. If u are a fan om lasers, then maybe U should try Blood blockade in Kador region, for example.

Is it easier or harder than Sansha Blockade? I hear BR NOS on top of TD. |

kill slaughterers and juggernauts first while using drones to kill the smaller stuff. Also, the current ship you're shooting at, look at it and fly in the same direction it is going by double clicking in space. Even if it's 60km out, this helps significantly against their TD. There are some frigates that TD as well, either send your drones on em first or waste the shot on em. I do this mission relatively fast with a 1400mm artillery maelstrom and don't really have a problem with TD. The serpentis one on the other hand I just out right decline or use a loki if I have one near by. |
