Instead of the way advertising was handled for issue #002, Zap has decided on a return to the way advertising was handled for issue #001. Yet, as I understand it the model is the same: writers get paid with the money the magazine gets from advertisement. A 'normal' magazine receives hard currency from the ads it sells... and so, they pay their writers in hard currency. E-ON is filled with EVE corp adds, paid in Isk; the writers get paid in the same currency. (At the end of the day, I think that what this system allows is to have a mag almost free of non-EVE adds... whether that is a good thing or bad, and whether it is better to have an expensive mag with no <<insert brand>> adds or a less expensive chock full with'em, is something best left for another discussion I think, not here) Barriers - an EVE novel
