Hi All,
Been playing for about 1 week now, absolutley loving the game so far, i have a couple of questions just out of interest :
1) If somebody has a cargo scanner and tries to scan my cargo, is there a way of blocking it so they cant see what im carrying?
2) when somebody warps to a location, is there a way of 'tracing' the location they warped to and following them? |

Only been playin a month myself so i don't know if there's a way to trace thier "warp trail"
But for a good mining ship the Navitas (frig) has good bonuses - 20% mining yield and 5% hold per lvl, only problem it starts off with a small hold of 215 m3 but you can add 1 mining drone. But you could try the Imicus has a 320 m3 bay but has no bunus for mining but does have space for 3 mining drones.
There is only do or do not, there is no try. |

ECM or ECM Burst I think stops scanners (not sure) dont use the burst in empire space tho.
you can use your scanner to find anyone in the current system you are in.

if you keep you¦re stuff in cargo containers inside you¦re cargo then the people that scan you will only see the containers and not what is in them.

Not everyone agrees with what DroppedasChild says...consensus seems to be that that's not true. You might want to verify experientially before trusting something really valuable to that advice.

There are three ways of finding someone.
1: Just watch where they warp to, and follow them.
2: Use the ship scanner (icon next to the ship overview on the bottom left of the screen) to locate which afteroid belt/planet/stargate they have warped to. When I am hunting player pirates, I generally warp to the Star (as everything orbits around it, so its the most scanner-friendly location) and can pinpoint an appoximate location within 10 seconds.
3: If they are in somewhere difficult to find, such as a safespot, you can use scanning probes to pin down an exact location. This takes time though and requires a ship fitted with scan probe launchers and probes.
