does the feature make it hard for "careerchanges" in eve. for example, i like both empire trading and hardcore pvp, which i think are 2 totaly different career paths. i would love to be able to switch between these every two month or so. but i think if i where to pirate for 2 months, i will put my former corp in danger of getting wardec't. and thus i would make a careerchoice not only for me, but also for my ex-corpmembers.
Whats your opinion on this matter ?

Employment history is used as a general judge of how "trustworthy" a new member is. If you see someone in lots of corps or hops between 2-3 corps periodically you generally thing "Well this guy sure won't stick around for the long haul". You'll probably send a few evemails and ask around. One thing you WILL do is not give em access to any corp assets anytime soon. Where as you see some one who spends a number of months in each corp you get the idea that they are more reliable and stick around.
A large part of this game is reputation. The first think people look at is your security status then your employment history.

That's why you ned to decide what do you like more. Have you heard of caribbean pirates who also were nice and friendly traders on safe waters? I didnt.
I (sometimes) use history of employment to contact CEOs and gather info about new corp members. At least 2 times I have dodged the corp theft this way.
Employment history is the only thing that defines your character. You can change your bio. You dont have to roleplay your race... but your history shows your path from the beggining, and that gives alot of information.

The great thing about Eve is that actions have consequences.
Employment history is a part of this.

You should have seen some reactions when employement history was implemented about two years ago .

They are good. They help to prevent, scammers, spies, and other cancerous diseases from infecting the corp or the alliance. ----------------

ok, but if were to go pirate for example, then i accept the consequences for my actions, for sure. the thing is, it may reflect upon my former corp members, whats your opinion and that specific thing about emp. history.

If you're switching between piracy and trading, your employment history is not what you should be worried about, your sec rating is the issue. Sec is easy to lose and hard to gain, not to mention that having a low sec restricts where you can travel in Empire.
Why not join an 0.0 Alliance? There's more to PVP than piracy. In fact one of our corp members is currently taking a break in 0.0 for a spot of PVP and we won't be refusing his reentry when he does return.

I agree that employers should be able to see it, but it should be attached to a corp application form and not just something anyone can see.
