For those who responded to the post in a mature manner, thankyou.
I now see a reason how people can benefit from killing the Pod aswell.
And as for the Cloning side of it all, after reading the Cloning Link Dark posted, I think I can bring myself to be cloned.
Only acouple times though, or I'll start loseing my looks *smiles*

If you started out with looks, you're pretty lucky. Most of us start out ugly so the whole degenerative issue is mute to us.
Seriously though, in anything but a 0.0 region the only reason you'll be podded as a newb is if someone just thinks it is fun to pod people.
Go out to 0.0, and podkilling becomes an art. Personally I try to pod every poor sap I can because usually the folks I'm killing are pirates and prolly deserve a good podding. :)

P.S. Why are you "creating a new char"? When you get podded, you are cloned at your home station and the memories transferred--you don't lose anything but implants.

Of course, it could just be that the podkiller just happens also sell implants, and feels that blowing up your implants will make you buy some from him.

reason 1: makes sure people cant rejoin the fight in a new ship if you send them to the vats 30 jumps away
reason 2: costs them isk..damaging their ability to come back and fight you
reason 3: im a sadist and i get of on killing poor defensless eggs.
