I just bought a Maulus off the market and 2 pulse lasers and a mining laser. The Maulus has 3 high power slots, but I can't mount all three items due to a "turret limitation". I can fit any 2 of the items I bought, but not all three. I can't find anything in my ship's description stating that it only has 2 turret mounts. Am I overlooking something?

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I thought something was wrong because it said Turret Hard Points: 0 (but that was due to me already having the laser and miner fitted).
One more question:
Does the Cloaking Device require a Hard Point?

AFAIK, Cloaking Devices only require a free High Slot, although I've never used one.
This means that, PowergridG/CPU providing, you can fit 2 x Turrets and a Cloak onto your Maulus.

Gallente ships generally fit hybrid turrets--either railguns or blasters.
Use what your ship has a bonus for.

if he's going ninja mining then the small laser turret might be a better bet, no cargo needed for ammo. it'll have abysmal damage ofc :)
edit: but it is sound practice to maximize the ship boni in general cases
