I usually give it a name to show what my ship is intended ot be doing.
For instance:
Stabber -- Bounty
(Originally intended to be used for bounty hunting rats)
Bestower -- Ka Ora
(Maori meaning, approximately, "It is Life" as I haul Ore in it, which is my life in the game. Yeah, I know, dumb.)
Omen -- Ka Mate
(More Maori meaning "It is Death" .. I used to kill rats in this one before Bounty.)
Iteron Mark 3 -- Pyaku
(I have no idea anymore.)

I have named mine after ships of the Royal Navy.
Well ive only got four and i cant remember what two of them are.
But ive got
Apocaplypse- HMS Victory (i got it the 200Yr Anniversary of the Victory At Trafalgar)
Bestower - HMS Albion (British Navy supply Ship.

I've got a few, various sources for names too:
Tristan - Ginkei
(Looks like one of the craft from Ikaruga)
Vexor - Provocateur
(pretty much my main ship for sneaking, also note my character name and intentions)
Brutix - Dronenuts
(Thus named before I realised it wasn't quite so drone happy as the Vexor. Ships are named for life though)
Navitas - Pomegranete
(Was drinking pomegranate juice at the time)
Can't remember the others.

All my ships are Rifters. They've been called, in heroically ascending chronological order: Twice, Downwards, Sidebar, C***block Saltines, HMS Overly Dramatic, Whoopsie Doodleson's Rifter, and Obnoxious Maximus. |

Hi, friends:
I named my ships with historical spanish ships names and famous spanish seamen names.
I have planned to name my Megathron with "Santfsma Trinidad" name; now I'm flying a Brutix with "Don Cosme Churruca" and my Iteron V is "Don Crist=bal Col=n" (yes I know, he probably was not spanish seaman but he did his travels with spanish support).
Net Hunter; I hope we'll cross our guns soon (HMS Victory versus Santfsma Trinidad again  ).

Well, I took my dogs kennel name as the name for this character as he died a week before I started playing Eve. So most of my ships are called Lewis MkI-VI depending on ship class. Obviously his actual name being Lewis, I know that's a bit too sentimental for a lot of you guys.
My 'phoon however is called 3-2-1, after the TV game show host by Ted Rodgers in the 80's in the UK, as its the Dusty Bin of Eve.
Anyway, enough pish from me
