Since I played ELITE in 1985, I was dreaming about a game, which offers such endless possibilities like Eve does. And after I did my first trip in my trusty little velator, I got addicted to this vast universe of adventure.
Unfortunately, a lot of people on this forum seem to have got used to the beauty of Eve much to soon. It seems to be part of the human nature, that every kid wants to break his new toy after a few hours of playing.
Before you ask them, I will answer you a few questions you may have:
-Yes, I lost valuable equipment due to bugs.
-Yes, I was stuck multiple times, unable to play for 4 days in one case.
-Yes, I have regular CTDs
-Yes, I was killed by grievers without any reason and without any explanation so far.
But nevertheless, Eve gave me endless hours of fun, adventure, tension and overall satisfaction. And because of that, I will give a few free hints to all those whiners on the forum:
1.Undock from a station. And now, instead of heading to your favorite mining-spot/trading route/gate-hugging convention, take a look around. And just realize the impressive graphics of the Eve-universe! Turn the camera, zoom in on your ship and feel happy!
2.To all of you complaining about the unbalanced weapon systems. Hello? Have you already forgot that we are able to use four different branches of weapons (Projectile, Hybrid, Laser, Missiles) with dozens of guns/missiles? That we are able to throw in dozens of modules to further improve/alter the effectiveness of those vast array of weapons? Go and take a look at the weapons/modules thread discussing the effectiveness of different turrets. And then show me ANY other game with these possibilities.
3.DonĘt be so greedy and jealous. And get used to the fact, that there is always someone else who has more power/more ISK/bigger ships than you. Reading those overly aggressive posts concerning the Miner II Blueprints made me shake my head in disbelief. Please answer me one question: How far do those Miner II Blueprints REALLY affect your gameplay? Are you REALLY unable to enjoy Eve since some regions of the universe where claimed by different alliances? Does this game REALLY suck, just because you cant make XXX million ISK by placing buy-orders before downtime?
OK. Now you all gonna call me a fanboi. And what the heck, you are right! Because if I wasnĘt a FAN(boi), I wouldnĘt play Eve and I definetely wouldnĘt post anything on the forum!
Now let the flaming begin. But please donĘt be dissapointed, if I wouldnĘt respond immediately. I really donĘt have the time to post here too often, since I am playing Eve and having a ****load of FUN!
