1.Undock from a station. And now, instead of heading to your favorite mining-spot/trading route/gate-hugging convention, take a look around. And just realize the impressive graphics of the Eve-universe! Turn the camera, zoom in on your ship and feel happy!
2.To all of you complaining about the unbalanced weapon systems. Hello? Have you already forgot that we are able to use four different branches of weapons (Projectile, Hybrid, Laser, Missiles) with dozens of guns/missiles? That we are able to throw in dozens of modules to further improve/alter the effectiveness of those vast array of weapons? Go and take a look at the weapons/modules thread discussing the effectiveness of different turrets. And then show me ANY other game with these possibilities.
3.Don’t be so greedy and jealous. And get used to the fact, that there is always someone else who has more power/more ISK/bigger ships than you. Reading those overly aggressive posts concerning the Miner II Blueprints made me shake my head in disbelief. Please answer me one question: How far do those Miner II Blueprints REALLY affect your gameplay? Are you REALLY unable to enjoy Eve since some regions of the universe where claimed by different alliances? Does this game REALLY suck, just because you cant make XXX million ISK by placing buy-orders before downtime?
Pardon me for pointing out the flaws in this, because it is nice to see a positive post, but I still must.
1. Yes, EVE is pretty, but I can only go through so many combinations of station/planets/sun/background before I get bored. Nebulas would be great to alleviate this. Also, on my vid card, the sun shines through EVERYTHING. Which really detracts from the experience. Finally, there are some instances where you cant do this at all. Anyone who has been to a sprawling Gallente factory should know this.
2. Yes, we have access to all turrets. But in being able to make the choice of which one we want to use, we should NOT be able to make a "wrong" choice in this matter. If I want to use weapon type A, but weapon type B is significantly better, why should I bother with my choice of A?
3. In a game that is advertised as an alternate reality, why should we NOT be greedy? Why should we NOT strive to be the most powerful force in the galaxy? Why should we NOT attempt to topple other organizations? This games content is vastly player created. The incident with the Miner II took the control of content OUT of the players hands. So why should we NOT whine about a group of players gaining power ONLY through the help of the devs? It's just against the entire point of playing EVE and being able to get ahead through YOUR skills.
That said, enjoy playing EVE.
