So I've been playing Eve Online since 2009 and I've lived in WH Space, K-Space, and for the longest time nullsec on my main toons. By far Defiant is one of the friendliest and most detailed analysts I have seen when it comes to toon buying. On the Net Promoter Scale I rank her a solid +10!  |

I would consider this post as a sincere EvE citizen concerned about the wellbeing of the community if you weren't the one bragging left and right how you make a killing buying and selling toons.
Provided that all scams regarding characters are not allowed, I can see how the source can be trusted. It just makes the character re-sale ripoff business much harder when people know what the characters go for, doesn't it? :)
As the person in question I can confirm I am not an Alt of Defiant (which would illicit a perma-ban for both of us per the TOS I believe), and I did in fact use his services to help me purchase several toons. In my case helped me convert PLEX to ISK (due to his higher accounting and trading skills, he minimized taxes and fees so I got effectively more ISK than I would have had I converted myself- to the toon of about 20 Mil as I recall). This was not RMT, as I bought the PLEX from Amazon redeemed them in-game, and then contracted them to Defiant who placed the sell orders in Jita and then immediately donated the ISK to me, taking none of it himself.
While I agree this is far-fetched in this dog-eat-dog universe, I can attest to my explicit and implicit trust in Defiant and the way he handled this transaction for me. Once I had the ISK I was the one who contracted for the character swaps, via the character bazaar, and all CCP rules were followed.
As for the underlying service, as I and others have stated, his analysis of the worth of toons, and therefore the value one can get on a given toon was without peer IMHO. He pointed out holes in given toons to me, advised whether those holes would be easy/hard to fill, and what if any discount/savings I was going to realize vice a pure calculation on time/implants/skillbooks trained from scratch.
I am not a professional character trader, and used this service to "buy time" by converting my RL dollars into PLEX, and those PLEX into ISK, and the ISK into purchasing toons that would allow me to do what I want to in the game without grinding the skill qeue for months.
I continue to highly praise Defiant as a person as well as his (still free as of now) service, and I am eager to use his services again. |

I asked for an appraisal for my toon from Defiant and got a very quick and accurate response. I received a detailed list of my toons strengths and weaknesses (in which there were many lol) and how to fix those weaknesses to maximize my characters value. I would strongly recommend you use this service and I will be coming back soon so that Defiant can give me some more sage advice once my toon is ready for sell. |
