When I am in empire I have been seeing a lot of ôweak, meaning low iskö bounties on people. Now I am thinking, well that looks ôself-placedö. Hell if I was ever going to do such a thing, IÆm going to give myself a high bounty (1+ million) then some crap of less then 100k.
So my question is how many pirates actually got a bounty placed on them, which is not self-placed?

Guess: NONE
Reasoning: If I had a bounty on my head, I'd get on a shuttle, and have a friend cash it in and give it to me.
So if you put a bounty to a pirate, it's as good as offering him money. If he takes it or keeps the bounty for bragging rights is his decision, but you still offered him money.

My corp mates did mine, and I hate them for it. I never asked them to and now people think I placed it myself which is kinda sad.

Bountys are utterly effed in this game.
They mean nothing.
Which is why there is no bounty hunting.
Just pretend like there is no such thing.

my corp mates and i attacked a raven becuase the bio said if she was attacked whe would put 45mil bounty on all involved.

I've seen some semi high bounties in empire (when I could go there) and was tempted to suicide kessie on them to claim.

I had a 5k bounty on me for weeks, which I didn't place their. I guess some newbie I popped did. Finally got podded in alliance war it went bye-bye, but just fyi.

i have a whole 100k on me, rawr i`m so bad.
i did have 5k that one of my corpmates put on me.
Most pirates don`t put Bounty on themselves and also most pirates won`t go and let someone pod them to claim it.
havin a big ass bounty is like a flashing light saying i`m hard to kill biatch!

Ive got a 10 mil bounty on me, woke up one morning to find it :D
I would nvr cash my own bounty, dont need that kind of cash tbh and its kind of a trophy for me

I think the 5k bounty that ppl have on them is an automatic thing that happens when someone drops below a certain sec rating for the first time or something like that.

I've no idea who did it, but I logged off on Friday night went away fot the weekend and logged back in on Monday and had a 15mil ISK bounty...
Placed by CCP because I didn't play all weekend maybe?

I have 100k on my head, but what do you expect from noobs?
Two thrids of my kills were far older then me (meaning a few weeks or so since I was 4 days old when I got that bounty) and since they seem to spend their money on cruisers they can't defend *MUAHAHAHAHA* they have nothing left for bounties.
A corp mate got a 5k bounty on his head the same day and I have to agree with him that that's an insult. Please gentle carebears put a reasonable amount or none on us

Last pirate to kill me I gave a 5mil boost in bounty anything under a mil is rude. Seemed like the right thing to do, i hadnt been ganked in awhile, I lost acouple hundred mil in cargo, and well  i shouldnt have been in the .3 to begin with. Anyway to make a short story shorter, a Tempest with tech2 auto cannons does and will PTFPAWN a Mammoth .

Okay to make it more fun, Bounty should only be paid out to say +5 sec status characters and only if you podkill the pirate, all implant effects should be increased by say 50%. Now pirates might start using implants and not cash in on their own bounty.

my bounty isnt self-placed. when i turned outlaw, two of my freinds each put 5 mill bounties on me. it's a trophy for me, a symbol of my evilness.... wait, maybe thats why nobody i find in belts stays put...

I've currently got a little more than 31 million. Some noob I met in Rens placed some part of it, but who put the rest of it there I don't have a clue.

Poseiden and me were camping a gate, we popped a guy in a crow. Next min the guy convos Poseiden 'blahblah that will teach you'.. he had put 560m on his head.
Yes, lesson learned there NOT, was like the uber loot we had been waiting for coming in.

You can usually make an educated guess about the clone price; characters over a year old start having rather expensive clones. Add a couple of millions in implants, and a 10 - 15 million bounty is not such a good idea to get popped for.
Of course, 560 millions, now that is some serious typo...

Me. i ransomed 1 guy for 500K bounty lol. and i killed a guy by locking him at a gate and he blew up. then i had 1mil bounty.

Well saw a loser pirate corp (ehm aren't they all), all had -10 and 66666 ISK bounty on their heads obviously self inflicted

I was ransoming a guy for 2 mill last night, had him scrambled while rats were pummeling, he ended up popping before he could wire me the funds (which was just plain funny), then he convos me telling me "still want the 2 mill?" and he put it on my head as a bounty. lol

Most I had was a trial account player who put all his cash on me when he left, just over seven mil.
Current bounty has been climbing in dribs and drabs for months now, none self inflicted, I would rather spend my cash on ships and modules.
