I would like to go somewhere, where it is not possible to warp. For this i would like to fit a ship, and fly sublight as fast as possible, without having to reacharge cap and reactivate mwd. I wonder how fast can you fit a ship to fly, if you want to fly at that speed indefinetly, for any period of time? What ship would be the best for this? what fitting? If anyone have tryed this, please give me some advice.

Since the Thorax gets a bonus to MWD and you don't plan on fighting, I'd say put a 10MN MWD in there with some cap rechargers in the mids and whole rack of cap relays in the lows. That should keep your cap recharging faster than the MWD can suck it dry and you can just go forever.

I can fly my Crow at 3.7Km/s forever but I've got every Nav skill (Besides the jump drive ones) at lvl4 or 5 and some helpful Eng skills at 4 or 5.

Heading to New Eden? :) EDIT: Crusader/Executioner with a 1mn mwd and some cap gear and ananofibers gets a few km/sec indefinitely.

A Crusader with 4x Overdrives and a Cap Recharger II probably fits the bill

I've gotten an executioner to do around 4720m/s for about a half hour (was flying towards a planet trying to see if it'd last a while) never had to recharge, this was also with a Gist mwd, two ODI's and a cap battery.

Use probes. No way you'll get anywhere worthwhile just going subwarp.
Somebody did the math once, max pos speed in this game right now is about 16k/s, but that's with gang modules, so i'd say max speed is about 12k/s. Go buy implants ^^

AFAIK, Crusader + Gistii mwd + local hull overdrives = fastest ship. + Full snake implant set = over 12km/s + 35% bonus from gang modules = ---------------------------

without gang bonuses, using domination ODs, gistii A-type MWD, snakes and maxed skills, i believe a crusader will just break 13km/s
with gang bonuses, god knows

Well, afaik you can get something like 35% bonus to speed, so assuming its top speed = 13000m/s, it becomes...17550m/s Bloody hell, and the crusader can maintain an MWD without any cap equiptment. Add a 20km scrambler and a few light beams and you've basically got an un-stoppable tackler... ---------------------------

When you take into account the masses of the ships the crusader gets a bigger boost from the MWD than the claw so its top speed is higher.

Clue: Mass! the MWD takes the shipps mass into consideration.. thats why.
its some thing like top speed + (mwd thrust - mass) = Max speed with mwd. thats probably compleetly wrong, but its some thing up that alley..

17km/s....
Thats some serious ZOOOOOM.
even with a 90% web on you you have nearly 2kms ... and you won't stay in range long ;)

If you're trying to set up a "super secure safespot", I have bad news for you. Scanner range is about 14AU. 1AU=~150,000,000km. So, even if you could go 20km/second forever, it would take you 12 years to get out of scanner range from a celestial object =/

Hmmm ... on second thoughts ...
The best i can get a crusadaer in quickfit is ~6500 with domi ODs and a gisti type a and max skills.
Can anyone take me through the calculations ?

weirda's claw with combat fit (i.e. actually useful for thing other then afk mwding) does 4300m/s indefinatley.
and that is with a 200mm plate on there. no snakes or faction toy.
had one with gistii mwd that did 4800+, but it popped...
serves weirda right... __ Weirda Assault Ship deserve a 4th Bonus and More!

well the optimistic figures have us at about 2 1/2 hours per AU, and the reality-based figures perhaps much slower than that...
so we're all still curious where the OP thinks he's going to go aren't we?
They invented the warp drive for a reason methinks.
Actually if you do the math, our ships are SLOW. My cruiser without any boosting, at his normal speed pokes (I guess we're supposed to say "cruises") along at 190 m/sec or so...Mach 0.5...isnt that a good speed for a Boeing or Airbus? Not very impressive for a spaceship.
Correct me if my math is wrong...
