They, in fact, do not.
The two most important tools for a Logi are the watch list and the broadcast window. Guess what tools are unavailable if the ship in need of repair is in a different fleet?
If you want your fleet to have a flagship, stick a command ship or titan in your fleet. Otherwise, why should you get additional bonuses just for being in a fleet?

That's a good point, I forgot all about that, hmmmm. That brings a pretty big issue. Everything could still work, but CCP would have to add something that as diffrent fleets linked together as working together. All in all this seems to be getting a bit too deep haha. I liked the idea but it's too much I'd say. If CCP could come up with a way to have friend fleets linked together so they can see broadcasts and so on then this idea would work great, but I doubt that would happen. On well, it was a fun idea.
Off grip flagships, well maybe the flagship has to be within 250km or 300km of said fleet. |

I like that idea.
I think it can be expanded on. Like ... to put these flagships to actual good use,
CCP could hold ... hm ... a tournament between alliances once a year.
There, teams could field flagships if they wanted to,
which ... hmmm ... which could be allowed different fittings or modules, than others.
Like ... faction fittings or something.
I can't wait for CCP SoundWave to host the next one. |

While I get the premise of this it seems to me any bonuses are silly. Just allow anyone to fill the flagship role and when they undock they shall fly the flag of their corp. into battle. No bonuses just badass photos. Excuse me while I go watch Braveheart. |

Can anybody explain to me what the recent hard-on for flagships is about recently? Seriously, not one flagship idea has been any good..they all use existing mechanics or take roles from other ships already in game... but there seem to be more and more flagship threads each day. Did I miss something recently? I know that golden Hyperion in the Rubicon wallpaper sparked a lot of curiosity. I would really like to know.
Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |
