Cartiff	Posted - 2006.02.16 00:51:00 - [1] I return to E-R my 3 days are ASCN is over lol. About ASCN i have only 2 things to say... First - ASCN HC, overall your good guys, Cyvok and certain others have my respect, Steelrat and Murphy, you are fools. I joined ASCN in the hopes of helping ASCN, i offered my FC experience and my game time.... steelrat instead decided throw a hissy fit and wave his e-peen around. Fairplay. If i had any isk, and the need to prove myself i would fight a duel with Steelrat, but lets be honest here, in any real sence ingame he doesn't matter in the slightest My e-peen is of no consequence to me, flame on Steelrat alts, i don't give a rats ass lol Secondly - I enjoyed my short time in ASCN, i have to admit, that the IXC guys are awesome and i have mad respect for them and their leadership, i know i caused Virt ALOT of problems regarding my membership and for that i apoligise, all i wanted was a fresh start but due to some peoples inability to move on, that phase in my eve life is over. As it seems that i will never escape the PVP persona, i have decided to throw myself into it fully and now you will see what i am capable of (RL willing). Let the galaxy burn 1 thing i was really surprised with, and to be frank, overwelmed with, was the massive positive responce i received from the general ASCN population, i would take a guess that 80%+ of ASCN welcomed my app and liked me being there, weather or not that was real or just my impression, i guess we'll never know. ASCN, good going boys, and to Cyvok i say, Respect to you fella, you've done a great job there and apart from a few notable exceptions, you have a great crew. Maybe later on in EVE, once the e-peen waving is over, perhaps our 2 sides could work well together, until then, NBSI. By what i can gather from the other posters here, it was either a personality clash between Cartiff and some leading figures in ASCN or just some of the high-ups in ASCN are still upset that we were killing them under Cartiff's leadership. People are free to make their own decisions, i'm just amazed they didn't want to keep Cartiff. He might come off as a temperamental fellow if you don't know him long enough, but that is what makes him an inspirational leader in combat. I might not always agree 100% with him (hey, we are all people of different minds after all), but I'm not exaggerating in the slightest when i say that i would follow him anywhere,anyhow,anytime. In any case, i think ASCN's decision might be slightly short-sighted. Trust is something that you can build up over time for the sake of keeping a valuable pilot. Just look at ex-PA and ex-Iron pilots in BoB. A good soldier who's not interested much in politics is a valuable asset for any alliance, just point him to a place in the map, tell him to shoot and he might lead your tropps to victory. Maybe he was perceived as a threat by some people running the show inside the "hive of bees" that is ASCN, who knows? Anyway, i'm not sorry in the slightest about this, their loss is our gain.
