The weekly earnings postings and div issuances speak for themselves....especially so early on.

Edited by: Bigoleed on 19/03/2006 19:35:24 ^^ doh, bummer... Sorry you didn't get in on the IPO. It seems that there were minimal issues with the purchasing through the exchange, for the majority. No fraud or ill-intentions happened...glad to see taht all wrap up.
I think that the one person running the corp was on everyones mind when debating to invest in this...ultimately it will be up to Countess' interest in keeping this thing going..but hopefully a COO or something will be picked up as things progress...and put that issue to rest.
That is the risk of investing in an IPO...business plan could falter...the stock could drop or shoot up....this was a great opportunity to get into another dimension of the game for many of we newer EVE players. Gald I was able to get in on it.
Hopefully Countess is still as excited about the corp as she was ...and over the next few weeks we see continued stable returns and some resumption plans explained/put in place...if she feels its necessary.
Looks good right now...IPO's are always interesting (and thus the reason to get in on them)..and this one has survived the process very well..and value of stock reflects that....could not have had a better first few weeks from a stabilizing perspective IMO...always haters coming out of closets and issues to address ect...the IPO and the fist few operating weeks get a "thumbs up" from this investor.

I know this isn't real world..but..should not the votes for your bonus and the board/coo/cfo bonuses be put to seperate votes? What board member isn't going to vote yes for a bonus for himself?
This is also a very easy mimum to reach (based on your history ;)) could it not better be tied to a % of the Corps total assets? Meaning if profit for the week hits 10% of corps total holdings...then this bonus would go into effect? I personally like the tying to a percent as most shareholder purchase with the belief the value will increase and any compensations should be tied to increases in profit..not static imo. Its definitly a performance bonus....not just an overall raise..is why I write it.

Edited by: Bigoleed on 21/03/2006 01:02:09 RP all you want...if it adds to your experience...but be realistic. This is a public corp..not a private corp....so maybe get in the RP mindframe of being a Publically held corps CEO... not a frothing dictator. This job is nothing outside of "Increasing Shareholder Value".
In real world, conflicts between boards, CEO's and compensation happen daily. It is important more than anything to have any actions between the two to be totally transparent..regardless of intentions..as you can see perception is everything. Clearly spelled out and understood.
I'd highly recommend any votes the board does in regards to compensation/spending of any type to be put out to the public in advance for viewing...this isn't necessary...but I promise you will avoid many issues down the road as a public corp. This comes from personally spending about 3 years working/meeting with a board of directors for a company who was working to go public in a very regulated sector. I'm just providing some input..and I personally wouldn't get hot about any issue either way..I bought shares soley to see this part of the game.

If you have access to Acrobat...it works great..much like the above option would..but more legible in a smaller file. Either of those options would let you reflect any charting you have for your numbers...personally I love charts.

Originally by: Toros Revoke I too am wondering when this is going to happen, I've had my shares at least two weeks now and noticed nothing going into my wallet besides what I put there myself.
I can imagine part of the problem. Countess was probably having a really good time, doing her business. Then all the flamers came. She got sick and didn't log in for a day or two and everyone started screaming SCAM!
If you were her, wouldn't you be a little put off?
You probly hit the proverbial nail on the head with that one. That or real life issues.
First off...Im suprised accusations and speculation didn't fly sooner..heat comes with an IPO..and overall he/she received a tonne of support....its been 2 weeks since any word/dividends.
She/he was very sick - lets hope they are okay...but sounds as though they are since they posted after bieng sick and did seem pretty energized.
Some facts for thought:
1. She could handle flames/flaming just fine as this thread shows 2. They were new to the game...so long term playability for them was still not proven 3. They were new/figuring out the market system...and frankly the amount of work was not bing rewarded through this new corp..for the person with the idea 4. Oblivion and DDO just came out.... 5. A LARGE number of shares (billions) were sold on the Sell Orders forum during the time they were gone..through an unknown alt with a temperment similar to CO as shown in the post here initially....speculate as you will..
It is one of two things imo....
1. This person was new to the game, and was initially excited about the corp concept...but with the many errors made during the setup process...that did not favor them...combined with the game turning into a buy/sell order grindfest for profit making for the corp....they bailed on the game...to play something else...
2. A well intentioned beginning turned into a quick, profit taking exit, due to many of the things listed above. Personally I believe this to be the most likely option.
I got out of my shares 2 weeks ago...and as a new player it would have hurt bad...so while I ahve no interest any more in the corp...I learned something I wish had been pointed out by some vets initially....that is...never buy into a corp that is being setup/planned by people totally new to the game..makes a lot of sense hindisght ..no matter how obvious it should have been.

Really is inteesting ....all around...I wont speculate due to the slight chance any of the story is real.
But, I will say there were a number of high end BPOs on escrow by Countess..and not the fake "c0untess".
