You may want to try Smooth. It is an option put into nvidia videocards a few months ago (its a vsync setting under the vsync area).
Try both for a day, see which one you like. Stabbers are totally broken

That's not true, 25 frames per second is what is generally considered to be the minimum framerate required to display fluid motion. That does NOT mean you can't tell the difference, as someone else said your eyes don't work in frames, higher fps will show a smoother image, doesn't matter how high you get it. |

While the game stays a solid 60 fps in most places, it drops to 40fps in a lot of areas for no reason. For example, the first combat of the tutorial, where you fight to enemy ships, it drops to 40 and stays at this framerate for no reason. ...
If CCP just removed those F#$()#ing clouds (that really add nothing visually) from pockets my life would be complete, and GPU sigh a big sigh of relief... Would you like to know more? |

are there dust clouds, aka particles, involved during these drops?
Maybe, i'm not sure. It happens in a lot of places.
for real performance you should see the frame rates you get in 3000+ fleet fights.
An eye bleeding 5 fps is always fun. |

You can't deny that you'll quickly start to get diminishing returns, though. Maybe you can tell the difference between 60 and 80 fps, but that probably makes you the kind of person who thinks they have to buy headphones that can output frequencies only your dog can hear. CCP Paradox wrote:To get back onto topic, if you have an Nvidia card I would recommend you try the adaptive V-Sync options for EVE (without V-Sync enabled in game, so immediate) and see if this makes a better experience for you.
When my bug ticket was open i was advised to do that too but unfortunately it didnt fix the issue. |
