I'm sorry, the question was about how to set a BM when there is a collidable object in the way? Just set the BM on one side or the other of it, and line up with your POI. Maybe I didn't understand the question.
On the subject of insta-godmode. One poster listed a few examples of ships that could get through gate camps (which I don't see as a problem in the first place) which are specifically designed to do so. I suppose I don't get the issue with a specialized ship/setup being able to do it's job.
As far as the rest of us, the BMs are of no help. Gate campers can do their "job" with very little effort.
So, what's the problem?

I don't see how gate camping can be SO entertaining that folks are willing to call ways to get around it cheating. Wouldn't the game have more depth if gate campers had to go out and hunt their prey? Instead of just sitting there on a net and waiting for flys to jump into it?
Eh, maybe I don't understand the pure joy of jumping people at gates. PvP should just be a little bit more interesting.

Err ... I'm pretty sure he was responding to the original poster.
That link will be handy if you find it, it'd be easier to just link someones breakdown than to give a full description each time the question is asked.
Thanks.

Unless it was published by CCP, that's irrelevant.

Originally by: lofty29 Yeah, insta's do ruin the game. Having a bunch of people who run around instantly is pretty annoying, especially when my shuttle going AFK gets out-run by a hauler with bookmarks.
Can you clarify this? I'm not understanding what the issue is.
For the record: it does seem that some basic tweaking of the autopilot/warp to functions might eleviate the need for a lot of the bms we currently use. I say this mainly for the lag issues that I understand come from copying them.

Give us the option to warp within 5k of an object, and make a couple of hundred more entrances into 0.0 and the frequency of bm use will drastically decrease. That, and 0.0 will no longer be completely off limits to us carebears.
While I can see the perspective of the fellow wanting EVE to be "bigger" I still view travel time as a pain. Just a waste of good play time.
