If G/Iron wanted you out, they would of pushed you out, and the timescale on that wasn't a large one. They are too strong and too determined, with resources only rivalled by your own. Thats not to say they are any stronger or more skilled than BoB, as likewise there is no way that they could push you out of your home systems. Its about Motivation.

Gotta disagree on a few points here mate.

First, we didn't leave on our pre-planned date, we hung around for nearly another month coz we were getting good pvp. Eventually we really, really had to go home because BoB as a whole were behind on the Capital Ships front. That has now been solved.

Second, Iron were starting to shake a little from constant losses to our forces everytime they engaged with the usual rara in forum posts and alliance chat complaining about us. The 2 dreadnought kills sent them off on a mad "OMGWE'REUBER" routine for a week or so but the hangover from after that was even worse than before.

Thirdly, the only major losses we took were from lag. That isn't omg we can't get beaten coz we're uber and i'm whining for the sake of it, it's just reality. We got our asses spanked 3 times and each time it was due to lag. The Dreadnought battle was a prime example, after clearing out nearly all the enemy ships relatively lag free (and that was about 200) for very little losses, we hit a stupid patch of about 10 minutes of lag where both our dreadnoughts died and all our pilots had to relog.

After the blood patch and with reduced lag I have no doubt that we would have won every major engagement because as I said above, the tactics of G/Iron haven't particularily improved with the exception of added aggressiveness since we last fought them.

But ofc it's all speculation. One day I'll take BoB into Cloud ring and take and hold it for 6 months and if they can't throw us out then we'll know for sure.
