Probably the biggest adjustment for you, outside of new ships/game mechanics will be wrapping your head around all the new cyno tactics (dunno what existed when you left) and wormhole stuff -- all in all the game has come a very long way, and a good deal more complex and deep now

No, I've never heard of that guy. Shadow was started by an american dude who was relatively new to the game at the time (people will laugh when they learn we were started as basically a highsec corp and moved to lowsec later)
I left EVE for the same reasons -- nullsec was just an alarm clock grind and i hated the politics. Since returning I've been involved in lowsec only, and it's great. All of the action, none (few) of the timers, and very little in the way of politics.. just lots of small to medium gang pew |

Did you get your mandatory racial, depressed player, and sexual sensitivity course? It's one of the tutorials. You'll get kicked in 48 hours if you don't do that tutorial. You might say the wrong thing and hurt someone's feelings.

Another thing which has changed is that a lot of alliances and corps moved the communications out of game, so corp and alliance chat are now on jabber or other chat services. This has to do with the fact that CCP doesn't want images and movies with a sexual theme posted, so we do that outside the game now, so we can hurt the feelings of underaged people without repercussions.
They should make this game 18+. Lets be fair, based on what i see in the latest eve movies we are all NEKKID in our pods, and our bodies do not exactly look clothed when you get podded.
I also highly recommend the capsuleer images and movies with a sexual theme which is available on Goonswarm comms. Gives complete new meaning to the concept of pod-goo. |

You'll have to rework most, if not all, of your fits. We recently have had most every ship in the game rebalanced and some of them changed fairly dramatically. (Example: A Geddon is now a drone boat.)

Truth be told it's a different game now, everyone has gotten lazy & fat. All of the feuds and real wars have gone, it's just people pretending while they bear it up for their next supercap. Metagaming, dumb game mechanics (bridging mostly) and the simple fact that the game has been out for so long and everybody knows everybody else means the game world has become very small. It's boring and bland. People will of course still pose but in reality nothing really happens, at all. |

And as everybody else has said, Bob is gone. They reformed under IT Alliance for awhile, died as well.
Molle went and started playing The Old Republic, but they still have their yearly BBQ.
Mercenary Coalition broke up, with some of the corps still being around. BDCI went to Pandemic Legion.
And the Russians still tend to stick together
Cyvvok returned for a short while... Can't remember who he joined up with. Hell he could still be around, but the fact that I am not entirely sure only reinforces the fact that he hasn't done anything notable.
Goons died... Then returned and now run rampant across New Eden with their alliance consisting of somewhere above 10 thousand pilots.
Tank CEO left, then came back apparently last year for awhile. Again, another person that didn't do anything notable on their return else I wouldn't have had to have been told by somebody that he was back. Rumors abound he turned into a carebear. |
