Days of camping ec-p8r are long gone..now I have a wife and a little one, so it makes gaming a little harder to be attached to the screen for so long in one period :D

Well you sure sound like an old Northern Coalition guy.

A lot of people still ransom (we generally don't ransom ships, but do ransom pods) but it's probably not as common as it was back in the day, as it's a lot easier to make ISK now.

Probably the biggest adjustment for you, outside of new ships/game mechanics will be wrapping your head around all the new cyno tactics (dunno what existed when you left) and wormhole stuff -- all in all the game has come a very long way, and a good deal more complex and deep now

that being said they have done a good job of 'dumbing down' a lot of things that were unnecessarily complex.

No, I've never heard of that guy. Shadow was started by an american dude who was relatively new to the game at the time (people will laugh when they learn we were started as basically a highsec corp and moved to lowsec later)

I left EVE for the same reasons -- nullsec was just an alarm clock grind and i hated the politics. Since returning I've been involved in lowsec only, and it's great. All of the action, none (few) of the timers, and very little in the way of politics.. just lots of small to medium gang pew

Looks like EVE is more Counter strike and less political than the old days.

Yeah, I see Tank CEO around from time to time. I don't know how active he is anymore, but he seems to be hanging in there.

You'll have to rework most, if not all, of your fits. We recently have had most every ship in the game rebalanced and some of them changed fairly dramatically. (Example: A Geddon is now a drone boat.)

I clearly remember you, I think you are going a little far in your claims of what you did though. Certainly you were (one of) the military directors of NVA / PA, however as far as running the show is another thing entirely, that was mostly Rona/KIA/CDI/Oberon CEOs.

I recently started a new account (this one), though I play very casually these days, few fleets here and there is enough for me, running a large pvp corp and maintaining control of multiple regions grew tiring no matter how much the tears and claims of hax kept me going.

I was indeed "one" of the directors but that bit your on about the NVA/PA... but before that it was just the venal alliance when I was in venal guardians where syco and a few of us set it up.

VA was around for a few months max, I remember when the NVA formed, it was very early, like <6 months into the game.

DBP hasnt played since like 05, hes too busy being rich as **** IRL (GTA series lead designer)

Not mine to reform, never was a SPVD, though still have some contact with Kianatre, and via him can reach Jett and greg.

Been in RKK since like 05 when we closed up FE (bled too many people to real life and other games, was better putting the beast down in her prime than letting her die slow, though Krullz of CDI fame decided to use our name in an alliance and **** it up a bit).

RKK still going strong, they had a bit of a hiatus after IT (the spiritual successor to BOB) broke up, we tried FW to see what it was like and bounced around a few diff alliances, Galavet brought her back from hibernation last year and reorganised the corp and got her running good again, put the 5 trillion in T2 BPOs to use and started recruiting, spent some time in a few decent pvp alliances, and recently joined PL. I only rejoined a few weeks ago, this character only has like 8m SP, so I waited till I could be semi useful.

Yea, its only a game, who cares, trolling everyone was half the fun for me, talk **** and then kill them, then talk **** more, enraged people, loved it.

Avoid indy, its still boring as ****, T1 frigs are surprisingly useful in FW or the perma war pvp alliance Red vs Blue, RvB is very active and they give out free frigs and cruisers too sometimes when you lose one, best place to start, once you get comfortable and skilled go for an interceptor and join a pvp alliance or corp, also RvB and FWers use eve voice, which is surprisingly good.
