1x Utu 1x Ishukone Scorp 1x Inferno Javelin Rocket BPO 1x Mjolnir Javelin Rocket BPO
All items are located in high-sec; the prints and scorp are at Jita 4-4, the Utu is in a contiguously connected system not far away.
I paid the following for these items:
Utu - 52bil Scorp - 5.5bil BPOs - 10bil each
These prices are all cheaper than or in line with previous sales of the other of the same items.
I need to liquidate these items to raise enough isk to fulfill in-game financial obligations. While I could just quick sell them, or be a bit more patient and either recoup my investment or make a profit, I don't like to keep people waiting and I want these sold fast. At the same time, I would prefer that if this be the case, the profits go to CCP to be used for good rather than to line the profits of a reseller, as I had to do so myself with them. So, I will be converting any and all profit made from the sale of these items into plex and donating them to CCP; I will also round up to the next highest plex using my wallet if the sales amounts do not cover an even amount of units.
I am setting the following reserve/buyout prices:
Utu - 57bil / 60 bil Scorp - 9bil / 11 bil BPOs - 10bil each / 12.5bil each
The idea here is to make back the 77.5bil I put in, plus some profit, which can be used for charity. The Utu and Scorp have been marked up to make up for the lack of interest in the bpos and the fact that I may have to slash prices to get rid of them. If the ships sell at the buyouts, I can slash the blueprint prices while still not losing any isk if worst comes to worst. Likewise, if the prints sell, even for the reserve, I can lower the initial prices on the ships. Although I would hope that, in the spirit of charity, people will go above the initial asking prices.
Screenshots of all contracts, etc., will be provided to show proof of my honesty. I will post shots of each completed sale contract along with the completed plex contract to CCP. All winners will get a Humanitarian shirt as well... and depending on how many plex are made and donated, we may have a surplus of shirts which I might be able to do something fun with in here. Maybe give them out to bidders and bumpers?
Scamming on Plex for Good is strictly prohibited, so you can take this as a sort of ban bet. If I'm lying about anything, I will surely get the banhammer. This is 100% legit. |

Best of luck with your generous effort to raise funds for the PLEX for Good program!
I think your buyouts are reasonably priced, and I would have bought those BPOs in a minute, but am currently liquidating assets myself for this program. Any colour you like. |

I'm tired of all these people trying to get rid of their stock in this way. I'm tired of people trying to derail my threads and ppl offering hilariously low. I could sell to buy orders at Jita for 6bil. I could sell it in the Ships channel for 8 or 9bil. I'm trying to make a profit here so that I can convert it to plex. I'm not here to sell at a loss. Apparently some people are under the impression that because the sales are for charity, I'm supposed to sell for way below what I paid, or give the whole of my wallet away. |

Hi Pretty Pennie,
I admire that you will be donating the profits to charity, but would you consider matching some of the profits out of the proceeds?
I understand you want to cover your costs and that you'll make up any fraction of PLEX missing, but that doesn't seem really equitable to expect the bidders to essentially allow you to donate to charity in your name while you liquify assets numbering in the tens of billions. While the items up for bid are perfectly great on their own, I must admit that I'm having some trouble with the way in which this auction is being linked with a charitable cause.
I'd be more interested in bidding if you were able to match the profits, ISK for ISK or PLEX for PLEX (up to a certain point). Might that be possible?
If not, then at least consider this a bump. And keep up the charitable work. Thank you.

Castles This is an alt, and while many of the larger traders know is behind this toon due to the specific items up for sale, my identity is still relatively masked. If I had wanted to donate in my name, I could have used one of my mains which is well-known and has a clean business history and reputation for being legit. I did not do so for several reasons. First because my mains are also known for being straightforward (read: assholes) by many and while my friends know my true nature, others chose to think negative things of me. The other reason was because charity is supposed to be in quiet, not as a public spectacle. You're supposed to give out of the goodness out of your heart, not so that people see you giving and think you're a good person. I may or may not have given donations of my own before starting this auction, and I may or may not give donations again after this particular charity drive ends. A few people have tried to bait me into revealing how much I've given or not given and I'm trying to not fall into that trap.
It shouldn't even matter whether I match some or part of the profits. I purchased those items with the intent to hold them and then resell for a profit, particularly on the BPOs. I already sold two Ishukone Scorps previously for 8 and 12bil when I was doing it for personal profit, and I had interest on this new one as well as on the Utu. I could have been a bit patient and sold them and kept the markup for myself. Or, I could have resold everything at cost just to liquify. The point of this sale is that instead of lining mine or anothers pockets, that potential profit be used for good instead. I really am baffled by the fact that people can accuse me of scamming here. I'm pretty sure I could sell the items at the reserve price within a reasonable time even if I didn't offer to donate the profits to charity but apparently people expect me to either not give any isk at all, or to go out of my way to bankrupt myself in doing so. A mere 8.5 to 13.5bil isn't enough; I need to empty my wallet to the point where I can't play or fulfill in-game business obligations, or I'm a scammer. I may or may not match some of proceeds, I'm not going to fall for that bait and answer you. If you don't want to bid because of that, it says a lot more about you than it does about me.
You already made it clear before that you weren't interested in bidding at all, and made me spend an inordinate amount of time on replying instead of doing other productive things, so I'm skeptical that you have any intent other than to derail my thread after already wasting my time in the trade channels. If you were serious, maybe you would bid without having conditions. The other day, a trader that I had some respect for said something along the lines of he wouldn't donate any plex at all because I wouldn't answer his bait question of how many I'd donated myself. He lost all respect due to that. You're doing something similar in my eyes. How many times are ISD going to have to come in here and clean this thing out? You either want to help for charity or not, stop trying to derail the thread by questioning my motives or calling me a scammer. |

Castles ...
Thank you for your response.
I wasn't trying to provoke an argument, nor have I ever called you a scammer in-game or out. I can see how you've confused me with the angry mob, and that's okay. However, your auction would be more appealing to me if a little more was given to charity from your end. I appreciate your intentions, but you're right, I will not bid unless the terms are right.
This is not a typical auction. It has been tied up with notions of charity which will effect people suffering in RL. Since you are putting it out there, I feel that I should be able make fair comment. If anything, I am negotiating for the further benefit of the charity.
At any rate, since you disagree, which I must now conclude base on your reply, then I will respectfully bow out and leave you alone.
Good luck!

Castles ... ... Well, now that we talked via pm, I've gone and cleaned up my last reply to you. My apologies for lumping you in with all the trolls and thanks for the civil discussion and suggestions. I think what I left of my reply should answer at least some of your concerns and I hope I clarified the rest in our chat. |
