I wouldnt really advise switching races, though caldari would be the most sensible choice if you did, as the missile skills would be useful for your matari ships also.
Specialisation, however, is the way to go for younger characters.

Yes, because we all know killmails are the lords spoken word or.. gospel, and should be treated as such.

Thanks for the advice ParMizaN, but these trial accounts are one-shot deals. I'm not going to be continuing with the character after the trial is up.
And to Pakchoi, I was thinking of trying Amarr, just for the Punisher. I'm not really interested in pirating using any of the Amarr cruisers though.
As for Caldari, the only ship I see that is worthwhile for using in PVP with respect to the trial accounts are Caracals, and I've killed so many of them with my Vexor or Rupture that I don't think they're worth the time. Both Rupture and Vexor are far superior for solo PVP IMO.
The Moa and Blackbird just don't have the punch required IMO, and both ships are also ugly as hell, and I like pretty ships. Even if the Rupture is a little... odd. :)

Why? You seem to be good at what you do, and more importantly, have the right attitude.
I'd activate an account if I were you.

I have an account already. I did trials to teach myself PVP and to learn about ships. My main is about half done with learning skills atm. Still quite a few weeks to go :|

^5s to my Caracal buddy for helping :)
It was a wolf. And yes you could have killed it on your own

Sure you can.
You cannot *transfer* money in the usual way. But if your trial account char is docked at the same station with another char, they can *trade* and trade does include pure ISK transfers.

UPDATE:
A team effort by myself, Fruit of the Doom, and a member of Bonnie and Clyde resulted in the destruction of a second Megathron of the same pilot as the first kill (Quai Fleuri) and his second account's Brutix simultaniously in one engagement.
Quai was baiting us and flitting around from belt to belt, hiding in safe spots, running with his WCS (named ones at that).
So after a bit we devised a plan to take him down at the station. Using a Scorpion to tank the damage from the sentries, we finally pinned him down with the Scorp, a Ferox, a Caracal and myself.
After the death of the Brutix, the Sentries switched aggro and killed my Rupture after I was about half way through the Mega's shields. I got to watch from my pod as the Ferox, Scorp and Caracal finished the Mega off.
All in all a very well executed takedown, given the slippery nature of the target. If anyone wants some WCS, we have about a dozen now from the two ships we took down.

As my trial winds down to a close, total kill count so far: 44 solo kills, 3 assisted kills, and 4 kills where the rats got the killmail. 4 Losses total. 1 against a Dominix (knew I was going to die, just wanted to try), 1 vs. Megathron (sentries got me, read above) and 1 loss from a Celestis warping in on me while engaged with a Thorax (pirating pirates while they're pirating FTW lol), and 1 from being hunted down and killed by Farjung.
All of this within the space of 5 days. I undocked for the first time on day 7 of the trial, after finally skilling some minimum skills, and I have about 48 hours left on the trial.
The Rupture just keeps getting better and better as my skills mature and I'm able to be more flexible with it. In a game where 1/10ths of seconds count for locking that frig, or that few meters/sec difference that my navigation skill makes when pursuing a target begins to work together to make the ship really start to shine.
I like it so much I'm going to skill Minmitar Cruiser on my main specifically just to use the Rupture, along with Medium Projectiles and whatnot.
I think the Ruppy is quite superior to the Thorax or any of the Amarr gunships. Caldari just don't have a cruiser I'd consider really impressive, given the same amount of skillpoints involved. 1v1 I take down Moas and Caracals, and Blackbirds don't really have the punch required and are better suited for support.
Vs frigs the Rupture does quite well, especially with it's drone bay. 3 medium drones help quite a bit, and I only have drones 3 and drone combat 3. Meager skills at best.
The Ruptures overall flexibility with it's speed, armor tank and variable damage types and bonus drone bay make it a very capable fighter. Projectiles make it's weapons very Nos resistant, and its 6 high slots allow for a very effective combination of weapons and Nos. The more I fly it,the more I like it's somewhat strange looks, and the clickity click of autocannons.
I've yet to try arty for solo PVP, but I don't think it would do that well, unless the target was a short ranged blaster setup, and was able to keep them webbed at around 8km or so. Anyone else have some input on their favorite setups and uses? I'm always interested in other people's constructive input.

Aye Ruppies are great..and although I do not condone your piratical ways..it has been a most enjoyable and informative read... Regarding the Ruppie's looks..strange they may be..but shouldn't it be the ship of choice for pirates given it's looks...I mean it does look a bit like a Galleon...even down to the rear cabin etc...a throwback to the golden age of pirating.

So, after being shot down again for the final time and not wanting to build another ship since I only have about 12 hours left on my trial, I wrap up this run with the Rupture.
After sorting the killmails I've put together maybe 32-34 or so, with another 3-4 assists, and the rest the rats got. Quite a few missing killmails surprisingly. IMO all killmails with rats getting the final blow should be distributed to the ppl on the mail. Oh well.
Last lesson learned: don't wait more than your alotted time for ransom. Mine is 30 seconds. Not obeying this rule got me killed today.
After killing a Taranis with the help of my friend (we set a trap for him to find and engage me), the Taranis pilot left and returned with his Brutix. I was in the middle of ransoming this complete idiot in an Execuror, and due to him stalling and taking too long, the Brutix then tracked me down and was able to scram/web me before I could get out (damn those 300K SP- no evasive skills).
Moral of the story: if the ransom isn't paid in 30 seconds, shoot em. Period.

Now that my trial has ended, I need to post with my main, hehe. Sorry for the confusion. As for Amarr, I've been thinking about it, but I don't see the Amarr ships being a viable option, especially considering the low skill points mandated by the trials.
If you skill *very* efficiently, you can end up with around 300-330K SP at the very end. Amarr just arn't that Nos-proof, and it takes too much in the way of skill points for guns to be very effective, so between those two issues I don't think it would be a very effective choice, especially with a trial.
I've shot down quite a few Amarr cruisers with my Vexor and Rupture setups, and a ton of Caldari, but my biggest competition by far have been other Gallente or Minmitar ships.
Now, not saying that I couldn't ever be shot down by an Amarr or Caldari, but given even remotely equal footing with skillpoints, I've come out on top 90% of the time.
I was shot down twice right at the end of my trial. Both times by 1600mm plated raxes. On top of which both characters were 1 year+ old. Normally I wouldn't have ever engaged such a target, but I was just testing to see how effective their setup is. Result: Bulletproof drone carriers ftw. Their very high drone skills coupled with their insane amount of armor meant that I was dead before I could even dent their armor by 20%, even though they had no cap.

You should try a Khanid Amarr trial character with Gunnery V (if you can still get it). You'll have 300k SP from the start. It'll be gunnery V and small energy turret IV, and not much else, but you can do your thing in dock.

Again, thanks for the complements guys. Makes up for all the haters. I think I'm going to be looking into the new races to test them out before deciding on whether or not I want to get one of those Power of 2 accounts going.
I really enjoy having two players I can play and develope at once. I'm still researching character build ideas and skilling strategies and stuff. PVP is teaching me a lot every day. Fighting different types of people with different ships and setups shows me the strengths and weaknesses of ships and how each one must be handled completely differently.
I'm glad people liked the thread and the constructive comments motivate me to design a new character and try still more ideas. I really enjoy people's constructive posts and questions and will always try to answer any questions someone may have.

hmmmmm i want to fight this guy for some reason and trust me if you went amar the Maller makes for a great solo ganker as does the omen but both ships require a higher level of sp to use starting off its easier to get better results off Caldari and minmatar ships due to the fact that they can change damage types more easily and they have no cap drain from their weapons.
For you buddy I would recommend getting a Cyclone soon.

Mallers make crap solo gankers. an Omen with racks of heatsinks and the smallest tank you can get away with is always going to be better for a quick kill. and cheaper. and faster. and prettier.
