does shooting the pirate factions still give you a standing increase with the respective empire e.g shooting angles to increase your standing with the republic?
and if so is there a site which tells you which npc's give how much faction increase?

Originally by: Zeromancer Edited by: Zeromancer on 02/03/2006 22:36:59 I went over to the system with the Gallente agents and tried this. There are 3 agents at the gate. 1 in a frig, 1 in a cruiser and 1 in a bs.
They give out a 1 run bpc of the shipclass they are in.
The Bs guy didn't want to talk to me even though i have 9.80 standing (9.84 effective) so it's probably rounded up to 9.8 and i have 9.7999
On my way just as we speak to collect the tags for the Navy Vexor.
NOOOO don't tell they changed it to 1 runs...

If it was a 2 run before, then yes. Picked up a 1 run for a Navy Vexor from one of the agents.

Can anyone supply a list of required tags and standings for the amarr agents in ARAZ constelation.
I dont have a lot of angel tags as most of the bad guys I pop are sansha - so i need to go and do a bit of ratting to build up a pile of the right tags

Edited by: Aran Cole on 08/03/2006 19:12:10 Seriously people, it's not rocket science... you need tags from each race's "racial pirates" which are most likely the pirates that infest that COSMOS constellation.
Amarr: Blood Raider, Araz Constellation Caldari: Guristas, Okkelen Constellation Gallente: Serpentis, Algintal Constellation Minmatar: Angels, Ani Constellation
Frig: Silver, 9.2 Standing Cruiser: Gold, 9.2 Standing BS: Diamond, 9.8 Standing _______________________

What does it take to build a faction ship? Loads of tags, or do you just need the same sort of minerals as standards ships do?

From the export I also found some other factions which have similar agents, but on single ones. I can't confirm if you get similar offers though, they might be for something different but i'm sure someone will know
Khanid Kingdom - Tori Aman Guristas Pirates - Pol Pat, Ippana Maltyr, Jakuzi Makar Angel Cartel - Numa Fa****, Skami Zarton, Kardimo Menka Ammatar Mandate - Madibe Arnadi Mordu's Legion Command - Teston Hrinz Sansha's Nation - Ophana Zett, Miguel Maktar, Karhoum Ykta Serpentis - Hara Lafleur, Luthetion Preque, Jaquon Jalibar The Blood Raider Covenant - Sari Arkhi, Unnaya Mafir, Farak Kali The Syndicate - Zaknar Cente Thukker Tribe - Bakkla Viftuin
*DISCLAIMER* I can't guarentee these agents will do anything for you, the none main faction ones are just theories
If anyone is intrested, i just managed to speak to the Ammatar Mandate agent Madibe Arnadi. I have 9.6 effective standing towards Ammatar Mandate. She gave me one +5 Intelligence implant and as bonus one +3 Perception for 30 Angel Crystal Tags
She is located in Alkez in Derelik region outside the gate.

Once again CCP detracts from the game by making ridiculous methods for acquiring High Tech ships...... Why can't they just let people research these things and build them, rather than running rediculous numbers of missions to have some random agent hand them out. It is sad that a game with as much strategic/tactical wargame potential as this is reduced to stupidity by dumb resource distribution methods that are clearly aimed at maximizing subscription time and not game quality. I hope CCP wakes up and realizes that if the game quality is high (and not stupid), players will play a long time. Crap like this makes me want to quit.

hey hey,
interesting response. .
1) i firmly believe that faction ship gain from having high standings is the better way to gain them. having them as complex drops made them farmed and less than exclusive. 2) having them buildable like other ships is possibly the worst suggestion ever. then would then be a huge isk farm for the builders. look at prices now 200mil for a fleet stabber and 900mil for a fleet tempest :/ they would become either commonplace or like TII ships either option is bad 3) CCP may or may not want longevity from players but i saw that my high standings to minmatar was more of a reward and a thank you.
Mucho Thanko Ruffico for providing a little known treat for players rather than having to fork out 200mils
FYI Fleet Stabber is certainly L33T

So does it really take years to get a standing that high (9.8)? What's it take for a Firetail?

Depends how hard you want to hit the missions. For standing gain though, assuming you are soloing missions, level 3 tend to be the best. In a HAC you can run somewhere between 4-10 level 3 missions in an hour (more if you get a string of fast easy ones) which means you can pull an important mission around every 2 hours or so. Doing level 3 as soon as I could, I took a corp from 0.0 base standing to 8.5 base standing in 6 days (spend the first 2.0 or so in standing doing level 2s). The trick to doing them so quickly is to either not loot them, or have somebody else loot.
I figure at that speed, and some fair luck at pulling good story line missions, you could forseably get a faction up around 9.2 in 3-4 months of hard mission running.
Originally by: hired goon I agree with every point and counter point that has been brought up in this and every other argument ever had.

Funny, was reading this thread only the other day.
I am sure someone said that pirate standing doesn;t need to be as high as Empire standing to activate these agents. Does anyone know how high it needs to be, though? I am currently going REALLY slowly through the missions (only doing lvl 4 angels on a very selective basis) so don;t expect to have them ready any time soon but it would be nice to know I am on track with my 6.8 faction standing.
I wonder if I will ever be allowed into empire again...
