What's the point of this thread?
To stop the "omg new battlecruisers gimmie details" threads that keep spawning. I have posted the same info too many bloody times so I'm making a central point for it.
When will they be coming out?
When Kali comes out.
When is Kali scheduled to be finished?
Last year.
What are their stats?
The only thing we have to base the answer on are the place holder stats in the item database (the full one, not the one on this website). However, looking at the values it seems very possible that they will be released in thier current forum, or at least something very close to it.
You will notice that the pictures and descriptions are for the current battlecruisers. Ignore them - like I said these are mearly placeholders as they don't have publicly revealed names and descriptions.

No, it provided the answers to all the questions that get asked about the placeholder stats.
So what does the Amarr one look like?
I don't know, none of the models have been released yet.
You know what I mean...
Of course I do, but I get a sick sense of pleasure out of making you wait.
So really, what are the stats for the Amarr one?
Amarr Tier 2 Battlecruiser
What you can work out from those stats: not a lot. However, as the current Amarr battlecruiser follows the Maller -> Apoc tradition (i.e. tanking), it's quite safe to assume the tier 2 one will go into the Omen -> Geddon path, i.e. a gank damage platform.
Progression: Omen -> Amarr Tier 2 BC -> Geddon (possibly)
Cool. What about Caldari?
Caldari Tier 2 Battlecruiser
It's a missile platform. Yes I'm fully aware the ferox can use as many missiles as it can hybrids, but it only gets bonuses to the hybrids. With a 7/3 launcher/turret ratio, there is no question that it's designed to spam missiles.
Progression: Caracal -> Caldari Tier 2 BC -> Raven
What about Gallente?
Gallente Tier 2 Battlecruiser
It's a drone boat. Much like the brutix follows the Thorax -> Megathron path, this one provides gallente with another drone boat.
Progression: Vexor -> Gallente tier 2 bc -> Dominix
Last but not least...
Minmatar Tier 3 Battlecruiser
An armour tanker with 7 turret slots. Imagine a slightly less brutal Sleipnir that can spare the midslots to tackle you fully.
Progression: Since when did Minmatar ships have a set progression?
What about the ship's bonuses?
Unknown.

they are basic tech 1 ships, so you will be able to buy the bpo straight off the market and build them yourself (assuming ccp doesn't try and seed more t1 bpos through the lottery system).

they are tier 2 ships, not tech 2 ships :), so the bpos will be readily available to buy, just like the current battlecruiser bpos are.
unless of course, ccp decides to pull another expanded cargohold I/shield boost amp I on us.

the least they'll have to do is upgrade the stats of the Tech II BC's, because the Tier 2's will come awefully close
EDIT: and that's probably why these placeholders will never see the daylight
the only 2 that come awfully close are the minmatar one (but that armour tanks instead of shield tanks) and the caldari one (which could quite easily become the missile command ship).

I don't agree with all of those, but I think it's what he's getting at. However, he forgot that hacs still have insane resists and are much faster to fly.
