it is a great DPS machine. more than some BS
what made it flavour of the month was the thorax, most overpowered crusier of its day and naturally u go from thorax to deimos.
the point where it fails: dont get me wrong it is still a great ship, and still does extream amount of damage is its tank!
most hacs cost an arm and a leg and thus u dont want to loose it often, thus what do u do, u plate up!
most if not all other hacs are able to do this with greatly helps in pvp.
ishtar: plate + drones
cerb: heavy missiles t2 + extenders
eagle: 250mm rails + extenders + resistance bonous
vagabond: extenders + t2 guns + speed
zealot: t2 guns + plate
sac: plaet + t2 guns + resistance bonous
muninn: extenders + t2 guns
deimos: ions + no plate. neurons dont fit no matter what u do. electrons + 800nmaed possible, gimps setup, range, and not as effective as 1600mm plates of other hacs or dual extenders of other hacs.
with also its **** speed, it required getting into the no mans land of sub 10km it is a high loss ship. and becuase of this it isnt so great.
what makes it worse is that more and more BS pilots are useing close rane guns + webbers, making any non plated/extender hac die EXTRAMLY FAST.
