This kind of topic reflects the deep wish of humans to have a winner in a game. Unfortunatly EVE does not really support the feature to have winners.
But there are only 3 things that count: kills, kills and kills! I have to admit that Lo3d3r has a crazy ammount of kills. He must be a fanatic and stubborn farmer if he tops my kills - lol.

Quote: Why would people want a winner?
Don¦t ask me - nearly all games and even the olympic games have winners. You must analyse the nature of games itself to find out why humans want winners in all kind of games. I guess it¦s because it helped mankind to improve and allways keep working on improvement. Games = training. And training is good to be a better human being.

Don¦t get me wrong - i liked the noble Jokers too...but it¦s evolution (not the corp EVOL) that decides who is successfull and who not. Jokers as example for the most noble pirate corp is quite fair, i guess. But in the end, what did they achieve? They quitted EVE because they didn¦t want to adapt.
It¦s fine to see pirates that stil ransom and we also try to do this. But in the end our ISK machine is ganking - pure brutal ganking and grabbing as much loot as we can get. This made us survive - while other pirate corps had to join alliances or had to quit EVE. So yes - only kills count. Nobody ask¦s how or when or why - a kill is fresh loot and fresh loot are ISKies to pay the bills.
Definitly yes - only kills count. The rest is only an "aura" pirate corps have.

I don¦t have that many kills - but my corp has We are teamplayers and i don¦t care much being not killer no. 1. I know what TDG is: the last original pirate corp in EVE. That¦s enough for me to feel like a winner

Quote: Logically the 'best' pirate would be one who had the highest financial gain to financial loss ratio from pirating.
What i said: lot of kills --> lot of loot.
Sure - there is a difference in what kind of prey you killed and not the pure number of kills count. But in the end a pirate with 4000 kills is a winner, while a pirate with 150 kills is a n00b or a looser.
BTW: i am pretty sure that people like Tank have enough kills to be on the winner side

We did 0.0 piracy for 2 years. I personally have left the PVP state and now am a PVD player (player vs DEVS).

Lets end this discussion - it cannot be found out who is the biggest pirate. Some players have a RL and play less, others more and that¦s why they have more kills. Some play 3 years, some less longer, some do 0.0 piracy, some low sec piracy, some do ransom, others not. No way to find out who is TEH WINNER! EVE isn¯t meant to have winners because it¦s a MMOG and DEVs allways balance the game in a way to nerf winners and to help loosers. CCP want¦s to make $$$.
What i know is that the pirate corps that are still active are all very good corps that where able to adapt and survive till now. I¦ve hunted with 4Life (Zombie leader), with Tank (Jumpin-camping, when i was in Biomass), Hupa (in the Fade assault), Xpohoc (my CEO), Tenacha (my UK english teacher), Axel (my favorite gunship pilot), Frankinator (he hates me), Zarquon B (hates me too), much others and all the guys that are still in TDG. Also know those of battles: I shot down Joker and m0o pilots and so did they when they could do with us. Fighted Biomass, Mafia and ASS. Never fighted SNIGGS (because i dont mine in belts and am no target for belt rats ) - i know them all and i can state: all these players are good at what they do.
Pray carebears that these people will never fit to each other, because if they would, they would set EVE into flames! A corp with this members would destroy anything and beat the $hit out of all the so called PVPers in alliances. They have the instinkt and the unstopable will to kill other players - pray that they stay in their small corps or inactive or alliance leaders or whatever they do now and pray they never merge into one team...

I guess we have a winner then: SATAN (Burn Eden) is the biggest pirate
I guess the real biggest pirates in this game are CCP GMs for fooling carebears aswell as pirate players to still pay for this game. That¦s an awesome thiefing job.

Can¦t this topic simply die? I guess all pirates that are still in business are good at what they do.

Sorry, but Kessah is the only ex-TDG that was able to loose a battleship to a corpmate (Axel shot the kids Scorpion down because he kept jamming him "for fun"). So don¦t blame it on me - i have no use for unproffesional people.
